CNY 2009

happy chinese new year everyone!!

ghee, i sound like i'm pretty flushed with adrenaline... :P actually, this year's cny had been one of the bleak ones.

ytd woke up at 10 plus, sis came to 拜年.. had lunch with mum then went over to dearie's place to 拜年... after dearie's mum & uncle went out to 拜年, both of us took a long and powerful nap... (actually, just me la... dearie woke up earlier and was playing game when i woke up. :P) then had simple dinner, watched tv, played abit of mahjong, had supper @ mac's, then tv again, then zzz le...

this morning slept till 11.. (i know i know, i'm a pig. but i'm tired ma..) slacked and mor mor cheng cheng till 2 then went over to sis' place... watched tv, ate alot of goodies, then 捞鱼生, dinner, tv, dessert, then home le...

actually sherlaine's family opened her house for cny today.. but sembawang very far leh.. with the dinner plus the gambling, sure will be another 凌晨 event... and i didn't take any leave for cny, so decided to give it a miss...

sian... 为什么明天就要上班了????

终于找到了

met dearie for some cny shopping @ bugis after work just now... after dinner, i told him i wanted to go casio. i don't usually step in that shop, but dunno why today had this "feel" to wana go in and have a look.

see see look look, saw this watch which i thot was not bad, and so peeked behind for the price. expecting it to cost more than $100, i was surprised to find it priced at $38. still couldn't believe my eyes, thinking that the "1" was lurking behind the watch holder, i asked to take a look. really was $38 wor.. and, oi, not white, but grey wor.. it looked white inside under the lighting inside the showcase.

saw another watch that cost $49. it was white, and more femanine cos not so "bulky". but wasn't really worth it when compared against the $38 one. the lady assistant was quite nice, explaining to us the functions and the difference between the 2 watch. and found out the $38 watch originally cost $100+...

've been looking for a "weekend" watch for quite some time le... and thus decided to buy it.. cos it's a steal! hahahaha...

even thou no red, the grey also nice... keke... tmr can 开张 le! hehe.. :P

最近

i'm surprised, that i still managed to type such crappy and lame stuff above.. i've been lacking updates, and i wouldn't be surprised if i actually see my on-its-way-to-being-dead bloggie be covered with spidey webbies...

i'm lacking updates, not because i have nothing to blog about.. in fact, there are a few things to blog about; things like clare's b'day celebration @ ecp, lunar chill out with the dearie, daw, wr, kiat, boon & angela, changing alvin "mission", company's d&d etc. but work have been breathing down my neck recently, from stupid neverending mero problem to ac comments to package 1 submission.

package 1 amendment submission's due b4 cny... and i haven't even started compiling the cals yet. there are so much things on hand. there are always things more important than p1 amendment. and p1 amendment is not unimportant wor. my place now looks like a dumpster, with papers all over the place with no sense of organisation at all.

it's depressing... very depressing... have been bringing work home for this past 2 days in attempt to clear as much work as possible... but, dunno is it just me or what, seems like the same leh.. i'm very very close to losing it le... 真的很累了... 已经完全没力气了... 我还能撑多久??

with all these, the thot of taking masters seems so... ... not encouraging...

Of Manicure And Pedicure

am waiting for the nail polish to dry.... then can go sleep le!! was painting my toe nails just now, in preparation for friday's dnd... it's been quite a looong time since i last painted them le... decided to paint them now cos of one ugly growing nail.. just few weeks back or prob 1 or 2 mths back, i think i knocked onto something or what that caused the big toe nail of my left foot to drop out... and now, it's growing back... very uglyly... grrr...

and because of the ugly nail, it's so ugly i can't stand it, i decided to paint it in attempts to make it not look so ugly... and so i was, spending the last half hour, painting it... and boy was it diff to paint lor... i'm kinda lousy in painting toe nails.. cos i always get the polish everywhere... so ugly... hahaha... so must be really careful to try my very best to paint it properly and nicely..

and so, was thinking of those pple who go for manicure/pedicure services... then was wondering why pedicure always cost more than manicure, since both just involves painting of the nails.. cld it be cos painting finger nails are easier for us rather than toe nails, that's why they charge you more on something that is deemed more difficult for you? or cld it be becos it's the feet, dirtier (whatever else word that fits the description - which i can't really think of right now), and that's why it cost more?

oh well... i don't think it really matters rite? hahaha... bo liao ah bo liao... super bo liao blabberings... hahahaa... lol... :P

Keeping It Simple

happy 2009 everyone!!!

hmm... how did i spend my last day of 2008? interesting lo... it first started a full day of work (where most places only work half day) and NOT knocking off at 5.30pm but 7pm cos i had to get my amendment submission for package 3 out to the AC... after which dearie and i went to amk hub for a very nice meal at 三盅两件...

after dinner, shopped abit.. then went back to dearie's place le... and didn't managed to keep awake till 12am... keke.. :P

i mentioned just a few days ago that the kids didn't get to go to ecp on mon cos clare was down with a fever.. so, sis called me last nite and asked whether i wld wanna bring them there today cos clare was very 不甘愿 she didn't get to blade the other time and also wasn't able to go ecp due to her falling sick.

and so, off we go, to ecp today.. with sis, bil (bro-in-law), the kids and dearie. only the kids bladed and boy did they have fun... chris was gd, improving from her previous attempt.. today's her 3rd time blading.. and clare was gd too! being able to blade on her own and this is only her first attempt! i am very proud of the girls...

thou there were no fanciful parties, no fanciful countdowns and getting myself wasted as well as looking a panda, feeling like a zombie (thou i am feeling superbly tired and wasted out with 2 full hours of bending over making sure they don't fall, supporting them, catching them when they fall and chasing after the kids), thou it's just a simple day out, i felt today was a day well spent, esp when i saw the smiles plastered on the kids' faces...

and today's the one day where i fully appreciate this phrase: 简单就是美.
