Home cooked dinner

Of all times

when i finally had the "feel" to write on the "sound and dust test" for my IA report, i forgot to bring my notebook that has all the notes in it. so diaoz rite? haiz...

saying of "feel", was chatting with dawson just now telling him that i was bored to tears doing the IA report. i have been doing it for the past 2 weeks and i'm still doing it. oh man, is it a blessing in disguise or what??

and so, i was telling dawson that i was so bo liao that i started to write testi's for some of my friends. some of them were the nice ones, which include how i know them lah, how they are like and all these stuff. some of them were the bo liao ones which i went "i'm bored (blah blah)..." but then again. they are the ones who are so close to me...

dawson suggested me to write one for him cos i cldn't decide who to write next. i told him that i did consider but i had no "feel" (which he started laughing). dunno leh. writing testi (no matter how bo liao) they are, you still must have a sudden urge to write for the person. if not the testi will turn out weird and un-natural. i dunno about what you guys think but this is what i think, personally.

Never Understood

been receiving emails after emails of lost possessions in my NTU mail. being the me that i am, i seldom check the mails in my NTU mail. sometimes, i may not check it at all till brina (or others) tells me there's some important stuff in the email that needs to be checked/printed/verified etc.

so when i check my NTU mail, it's usually flooded with hundreds of mails. and i swear of the emails i have, abt 10% are those emails that enquire regarding their lost possessions.

i mean, hello??!!! are you mad? what makes you think that it could be found? if the person wld really have the intention of returning it to you, he/she would have emailed re: lost possession found. most of the time, it's usually text books, watches, mobile phones. esp for mobile phone. if ther person really have the intention of returning, you wldn't even need to send the email at all. cos the person wld probably wait for you to call back and then returning it to you already.

i never understood, never really understood, why people actually do these stuff. is it a desperate measure?? but then again, if it really meant so much to you. you wld have taken really gd care of it, wldn't you? unless pple steal it lah. then that's a different case.

Bestest Bud

... terry... finally met up with him last nite for dinner and stuff... needed his help in identifying places to shop in hongkong with the help of the map @ kinokuniya.

futher information was provided at the bubble tea outlet. now i make the meet up sounds like a mission. actually, no lah. other than that. we caught up with each other and started chatted alot about hongkong and other bo liao stuff.

oh, before i forget and start blabbering abt other stuff. terry almost can't recognise me! oh my gawd... -,-!!! the reason he gave me was that my hair was too long to be recognisable. nope, he doesn't mean that my hair was messy. it's just that he has never seen me in long hair b4. heheh

ok. back to the topic...

dunno what we were chatting abt till we came to the topic of working and some stuff like that. i was asking terry what kind of job he'll be taking. not the temp or part time kind, but the full-time so called "i'll work for live" kind.

terry responded by saying that he wasn't the studying kind. it sounds more appropriate in chinese: bu(4) shi(4) du(2) shu(1) de(4) liao4)... he said that he wanted to go into jobs that requires him to erm... damn, how do i put it.... ok. simple word... talk. aiyah, anything that's not office desk bound kind of a job. so i was like... ok, kinda suit him thou...

then we came to the topic of living in hongkong. not knowing how much to change for the coming hongkong trip, i asked whether the standard of living there was high. what he told me was that it was almost the same. in sg, transport is cheaper than compared to hk. but food's the otherwise. which yalah. like what he told me... almost the same.

(fyi, we talk about anything under the sun. wateva it may be. gossips, blabbers, stupid stuff... whateva...)

dunno why i suddenly became ms analyst quek... i started to "analysis" the difference if he stayed put in sg and if he went back to hk. although he's my best bud and i want him to stay put in sg, i feel that it's better for him to be back @ hk.

put it this way. since the living standards are the same on both sides. it only boils down to his working salary alreadi rite? (rite. heheh) i feel that it's better for him to be back @ hk for one simple reason: which was what i had mentioned earlier - salary.

althou terry can speak english, (his english used to be real bad but he has made tremendous improvement alreadi) but it's still not good enuf for him to survive in sg esp if he wants a job that allows him to communicate to other pple. in sg, english language is definately a necessity. however, in hk, the ability to use the english language is a plus point for him. cos in hk, the main language used is cantonese and chinese. so, being a plus point for him, it means higher pay isn't it?

i mean, some of you might say that courses are readily available in sg for him to self improve. but if you guys have not "paid attention" to this long entry, i had already stated that terry is not the studying type. which means he'll most prob be unhappy working here.

i mean, all these are what ms analyst quek had analysed last nite lah. which is just basically what i feel lah.

(terry, do give everything a serious thot. althou there are alot of pple here who wun want you to go back. but i feel it's best for you to choose what's best for you. no one knows. only you know what's the best. till we catch up again, take care)

Stitch, stitch, stitch me up

had finally decided to upload all the pix in my digicam up to the comp. however, even thou i've uploaded it to the comp, i cldn't blog. my "beloved" wireless provider is not ard anymore (i think) that's why. and the other prob is that dearie's comp is down. so that explains all.

uploading pix in the office is diff. and i shall tell you why

1. my comp in the office is not XP. so it cannot read my bloody thumbdrive

and if you are telling me that i shld install the thingy so that it recognises my thumbdrive, here's number 2 for you.

2. my comp in the office doesn't allow me to install anything

and so you can tell me to use my colleague's comp (cos they are all using XP), here's number 3

3. their comp can't read thumbdrive as well (it's blocked by IT pple)

and so. now how? i tell you how

i have to go to vin's desk to use the admin side's "common comp" to do it. copy to the scanner drive. and then go back to my desk, cut and copy to my own drive.

so you see. it's not that i dowan to blog or put pix anymore. it's just that it's bloody TROUBLESOME!!!

ok, back to the topic... after uploading the pix, i stitched some of the photos i've taken. dunno why, i love stitching photos. it gives you a big view of everything. so you don't have to pathetically zoom out to get the overall pic. (and for those of you who don't know what it is, in short, it's just joining a few pics to one pic)

Darling Wen

(*ok, now i'm pissed off. i thot only friendster does that. now even blogger wants to swallow my entry and not publish it. now i have to try to recall what exactly i "posted" and post it again. argh.*)

*ok... as to what i posted*

finally met up with wen after being "bang seh" by her a couple of times aredi... it's been a couple of mths since i last met up with her.

last nite was "one of those nites" where the 3 of us cld finally meet up together. the 3 of us being brina, wen and me. cos usually it's just wen and me and i'll fill brina with the details some other day when i meet her.

dinner was set @ suntec sakae sushi. it was definately fun chatting and catching up. our stomachs were stuffed to the max as we were having buffet. nevertheless, it was still great.

dinner ended ard 9 to 10 when we supposedly decided to be on our way home as all of us had to work tmr. and poor brina and wen are working in tuas. but in the end, it was only brina who went back first. wen and i had decided to take a romantic (as what dearie said) walk @ esplanade.. to continue catching up.

laughters definately filled the hot air in esplanade. we chatted everything under the sun (in this case, the moon). one of which were the unforgettable, fun, and stupid stuff that we did in poly just years back. how we got to know each other and all these stuff... etc.

it's really a wonder to sometimes know that we cld read each other's minds really well. we were looking at the fullerton and we just knew that we had to find one day (dunno when that day is, but just one day) we shld book a room in some nice hotel and spend the nite just having a gal's nite out kinda thingy.

...i miss the gd old unforgettable fun stupid poly days....

i just wonder... wldn't it be nice if we cld just travel back time just to feel the fun that we had. to so call "re-live" the fun and unforgettable things that we had done....

wldn't it be nice???....

One Week = $30

argh. was supposed to bk my air tix to guangzhou last week. but due to some stuff that made me bk today, i booked it this morning. and because i din book it last week, i had to pay $30 more! argh. there was an increase in price in the tix.

but then again. it's still cheap compared to the last time dearie and i went back guangzhou. that time we flew by thai airways. it was a transfer flight to bangkok then to guangzhou. cost me ard $460!!! all thanx to tiger airways for opening a new route to guangzhou. so tix are cheap cheap cheap!!!

all thanx to progress package (although not much), we've decided to go hongkong (by train)!!! long awaited trip to hongkong. never been there b4... so excited!

as for some of u are thinking, nope, i'm not going to disney land. i'll save it for my trip to japan/u.s. hehe... sis went not long ago and said it's real small. shld go to japan one (cos she went b4). but still thinking whether shld go to ocean park anot. hmm.. must plan plan plan... read read read on where to go, wat to do, where to eat, where to shop (with courtesy by library travel books. call me kiasu, but i can't wait aredi.) oh, and oh yeah, gonna visit terry too!!!

so fun oh so fun... guangzhou -> hongkong -> macau -> shenzhen

oh, can't wait for 11 july to come quick. and pretty please, come real quick!!!

monday bluez with and exceptionally lousy morning. haiz.

first i had to start with waking up @ 8am when work starts @ 0830. all thanx to my mom who cldn't stop asking me questions in the wee hours @ 6am!!! argh.

then i have to go office in messy hair. with a pair of "spoilt" heels (or if you like, noisy heels) with this and that. forgetting to bring this and that.

Desperate

need of my iced latte this morning which meant the usual drop-by @ 7-11 to get my 'beloved' nescafe iced latte.

praying really hard that the latte was available today (cos it wasn't ytd and i ended up drinking iced kopi-O) but it wasn't. *haiz*

saw an alternative... that was the dutch lady iced latte. the moment i saw it, doubts flooded in, telling me not to give in to the alternative. dutch lady?? that's the brand for milk lor. even thou the can looks not bad, with the vienna coffee and low fat milk. i wasn't convinced to buy it.

shld i or shld i not?

but, i still bought it. my sleepiness overuled my decision to not to buy even thou i was afraid that it'll taste like milk.

*bleah* *pui* *pui*

as i expected, it really tasted milky! *bleah*

bottom line of this entry? don't ever try it. it's horrible.
