yes, yes, yes i did say that i'm not supposed to shop. and yet i bought $60 worth of clothes like eh... last week??

but cannot help it lah. 50% sale leh... and i totally have reasons for buying them!!! really!!!

top no. 1: white spaghetti
see? it's white!!! i need to stock up white! cos i have too many blacks! and so, that's the reason why i bought it. and oh. after discount it's $19.50. a $19.50 top from future state? it's a bargain!!! wahahaha (laughs evilly)

top no. 2: dark blue halter
hmmm.... it's blue!!! (haha) no la. i tried on this top b4. didn't buy cos i chose another top over this that time. and since it's on 50% discount! of cos it's a must buy la!!! $14.50 leh...

as much as i want to save money. but sometimes when there's a sale, reasonably priced, my size, my colour... can't help it la. abit "wei(2) bei(4) zi(4) ji(3) de(4) liang(2) xin(1)" not to buy it lor...

so there goes... another $34 spent... i'm such a spendthrift.

wahahaha... shopping is soooooooooooooo fun. esp with the g.s.s!!!

i even told dearie that i'll buy more things for him in hongkong and guangzhou cos he hasn't bought anything yet. part of the reason being, by the time i fly, i might have bought a waredrobe of clothes already! *oops*

Majong @ Terry's

received an sms from darling peini on sat asking whether dearie and i wanted to play nite mahjong @ terry's. since dearie and i had no plans that nite, we said ok.

picked up dearie's mummy from work and had dinner together @ the toa payoh lorong 8 factory there. *yum yum* i love fu jian mee...

after sending dearie's mummy back home, dearie drove to east coast park to take a walk. actually wanted to go to the tea restaurant @ upper east coast there. but we guessed the parking will be full that time, so we ended up @ ecp.

took a stroll along the beach. dunno why i just love to stroll along the beach barefooted. and so i managed to persuade dearie to stroll with me barefooted. Oo... the sand and the sea is cooooold! well, only parts of it only lah. there's this other end of the beach where the water is warm... hmm... interesting eh?

after our stroll, we went to mac to get an ice-cream cone followed by ulitmate @ coffee bean. and off we go!... to terry's...

when we reached, peini and terry were singing karaoke... i joined in while terry went for his bath. and off we start! our nite mahjong game...

play, play, play... lost, lost, lost... (haiz). lucky there was dearie to cover my losses... halfway thru the game, terry was hungry. he suggested supper nearby his hse. but we were lazy to move. not only that, peini can't go back late. and so we ordered 67773777 the mac hotline!!! had to wait an hr for it thou.

although we only played one round plus one 'dong feng', but i still had fun...

What a way to start my day

(i curse and swear blogger that ate my entry)

waking up late was already bad enuf to start the day. cos it constitutes to leaving the hse later than usual, missing the bus, and being late for work!

thot i wld be bloody late for work. but i wasn't. and this is the reason why. before walking even 30 steps from the apartment, i saw my bus. and so i ran and chased after the bus. (i really have to thank sis for imparting me this skill of running in heels) fortunately for me, i didn't make a fool of myself. and i caught the bus! taking a look @ the watch. hmmm... looked like i wldn't be that late for work afterall.

but i missed my stop. cos i was too hooked on my game. the sudoku game i had downloaded to my mobile just over the wkends. don't understand why leh. i've been doing it for the past few days and it was ok leh. maybe today really too hooked ba. i ended up one stop after my stop, lavender mrt station.

realised if i were to walk to office, i would be bloody bloody late. so i took a cab. the driving distance was so short that the meter only jumped $0.20! haha...

so even thou i'm still late for work. but not too late lah.

haha... what a start... for a sleepy sleepy me...

A teenie weenie sore throat that led to...

cough, flu and fever...

had to see the doc near dearie's place on sun. gave me a 2-day mc to rest.

have been doing nothing but sleeping, sleeping and more sleeping for ytd and today cos medicine made me drowsy.

blardy expensive trip to the doc! $37!!! *sigh*

hope the medicine works. cos my temp's still running up and down, phlagm still stuck, nose still runny, cough's still bad.

10 - 2 = 1???

can't believe it. there's 10 lifts in the bloody apartment. ok. minus one for the car park and another for the cargo. that means i'm left with 8 lifts rite?

wrong!!!

i'm left with one! one pathetic one. here's why.

i'm the unit with lift no. 4. which means if lift no 4 spoils (which it always does and i can't blame cos it's really old liao. it probably was there ever since i was born cos it was already there when i was in kindergarden.), i would have to walk to lifts 1, 2, 5 or 6 (it's stupid to further advance to lifts 7-9 cos that would be too far).

but. lifts 1, 4 and 5 are spoilt. lift 6 is too far away from the carpark (lifts 6 & 7 are nearest to the lobby). which means i'm left with lift 2. (lifts 1, 2, 8, 9 are nearest to the carpark) and practically everyone's going to work @ the same time. and staying on the 10th flr doesn't make my life any easier. i press for the lift. the lift goes up. and it goes all the way up to the bloody 37th flr. and comes all the way down to the 10th flr, leaving me with no room to even squeeze into the lift. it's jam packed!!! it's either i squeeze in (if i can) or i wait for another one to come (which will probably take me another 5-8 mins).

why bloody have so many lifts when it's always spoilt and you guys (the mgmt) does nothing about it??? hmm... maybe i shld check. check wat is the min lifts that my apartment shld have to serve e pple in the apartment. and then i can file a complain!!!

Weekend updates

finally decided to get my ass moving to exercise... dearie wanted to jog. but i hate jogging. so i suggested we do squash instead since there was a safra near dearie's place.

went to dig out our squash rackets early in the morning... aiyo....

*dirty dirty dusty dusty*

a whole morning of cleaning up the rackets and realised that the handle wrap had to be changed... old liao. all falling apart liao...

called safra to book the courts. ex leh, $4/hr lor! wk days b4 6pm is $3/hr.

went downstairs for lunch. the same old famous bah chor mee. so famous we had to wait 30mins for it. after that, took a walk to central to get the grip wraps for the rackets. bought the head squash wrap.

dearie did a great job!!!

but so funny. a wilson racket with a head grip wrap. as for the other racket, it's ok. cos it's a head racket.

oh yea, must find one day to go down to queensway to re-string my rackets...

played non-stop. played till i dropped. played till my arms started to shiver upon holding the racket.

first time playing for 2hrs non-stop. dearie and i used to play on weds in SP. although we always booked 2hrs, we normally played 1.5 plus rest + walking to vending to buy drinks. but sunday was different. had to pay for the court. so die die must fully utilse the court. *hehe*

although tiring, the game was gooood! i loved it.

dearie won 5:3... but i'm still contented with my results, not having played squash since poly yr 2! wah, that was like 3-4 yrs ago!! omg...

there was this other group who were playing at the other court. and there was this particular person who was so noisy. he was practically screaming and shouting thru out the game! so irritating!!!

realised that the ball that they used is very fast. must go see see look look and buy. our ball not fast enough, game still not exciting enough.. haha

exciting game = tired for "rusty" evelyn who hasn't been exercising for quite sometime = muscle sprain @ the back = ouch ouch ouch = dearie's TLC (tender loving care)

note: dear, i really enjoyed the game. let's do that again this wkend!!! =)

Hangover cure??

am tuning in to my fav class 95 and if i din hear wrongly, either glenn or f.d said that bananas are cures for hangovers.

but it doesn't mean frantically eating bananas when you're having a hangover. you're supposed to use the banana to make a drink. e.g banana milkshake

interesting eh? perhaps i shld try it the next time i have a hangover even thou i don't really like banana milkshake...

Put about 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an open window. Then send 2 or 3 candidates in the room and close the door. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours and then analyze the situation.

If they are counting the bricks
Put them in the accounts department

If they are recounting them
Put them in auditing

If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks
Put them in engineering

If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order
Put them in planning

If they are throwing the bricks at each other
Put them in operations

If they are sleeping
Put them in reception

If they have broken the bricks into pieces
Put them in information technology

If they are sitting idle
Put them in human resources

i must have been stoning. if not it's the photocopier that's stoning.

i fed a stack of A4 doc into the copier and it printed A3 ones out. (and if you are wondering, no, i did not choose the A3 function) not wanting to waste paper, i'm now cutting the A3 paper into two to make it A4 size.

although there's this clever invention called the pen knife, but i happen not to have it. so, i'm now doing a monotonous "job".

take (paper) -> fold half -> sissors -> cut cut cut

repeat 15 times.

how fun. *bleah*
