Efforts Hanging By A Thread

as if working my arse off ain't good enough, i just have to find out, after all the OT i've done last nite as well as the 6 hours i've ploughed myself thru, that the shop dwgs are different from my structural dwgs!!! bravo bravo...

am just so darn sick and tired.. and now, my efforts, hanging by a thread...

i'm trying to convince myself, at least i realise it now... rather than next week where, by then i have absolutely no time to make changes... but, it ain't really working... if really all gone down the drain, 只有四个字.... 好悲哀哦...

Luckily Unlucky Or Unluckily Lucky?

there are times, when it comes to certain things, i'm always lucky... like how i manage to wake up b4 my stop when i'm on the train or on the bus 99% of the time, like how lucky i can always be to have the rain stop just b4 i leave off to work when it was raining the time i woke up etc...

but there are just times, when it comes to certain things, i'm just that unlucky... and today, it happened again... so darn sleepy... still forced myself to wake up at 6.30am somemore... haiz... perhaps that is what we call a balance?? hahahaha...

the nice cuppa coffee b4 i start my work, checking...

and now, it's time to start my beam checking... hope the progress will be good..

and oh, perhaps to look on the bright side of this morning's unlucky-ness... i reached office earlier than i was supposed to... and probably cos of this, i get to leave earlier later? hahahaha...

It's Been Some Time

... since i locked up the office... erm, not that i really that gian to lock up the office la.. but, oh well... bo bian la... next week going on leave le... and there's still this mountain of work not done... haiz...

worked till ard 10.30pm.. wanted to finish checking the 3rd storey beams... but, worked until i blur blur le... and ended up with a confused mind after i finished checking that beam which, to my dismay, was wrong... haiz.... progress super slow today... from the time i came back from lunch till 10.30pm, i only managed to check and strengthen 6 miserable beams... and i still have like 10 more to go before completing the 3rd storey... which means, the chances of me dragging my feet to office tmr is very the high ah.... :(

i really hate strengthening beams.. cos it's such a trial and error iterative time consuming process... try this, cannot, try that cannot... keep trying and trying... sometimes even try until dulan.... and when you're that suay, you'll take one whole morning just to strengthen one beam... haiz...

sometimes, can't help but feel, taking leave is like 找罪受... b4 you go on leave, got to clear this, clear that, and try to clear more, so as to try cover for the days you're not in office... which, is quite impossible... and that leads to alot of work piled up when you come back from leave, which you'll probably work your arse off after that...

oh well... that aside... shoo shoo!!! must look forward to my coming genting/KL trip la... looking forward to our suite!!!! lol...hahahaha...

Coffee - KoHi - 咖啡 - Kopi

was having coffee at marina square gloria jean's just now with dearie... think today too tired le, don't feel like shopping.. anyway, nothing much that i gian to buy also... and when i saw gloria jean's, i suggested going there for a cuppa coffee... sit down, rest awhile, slow things down for the day...

was sipping the cappuccino, enjoying the fragrant coffee... and kinda letting my mind wander... ... thou it's kinda crazy to be drinking coffee at 8pm, knowing that there's this 50~60% chance that i can't sleep later... but it just felt so good to have that coffee... afterall, i didn't get my "gao gao" kopi from downstairs today cos this morning my throat didn't feel too good and didn't want to risk a super bad sore throat from the kopi... hahaha... i sound like some coffeeholic here... lol...

oh well... coffeeholic or not... (thou i think i'm not.. lol..) i just can't resist not having my daily morning cup of freshly "brewed" fragrant coffee and oh ya, can't resist, like just now, having that one gd cup of coffee to just relax and unwind even if it's risking a highly potential sleepless night ahead... hahahaha....

Sandwiched With Smashes

almost thot my efforts of bringing my barang barang for badminton were wasted cos at 5.30pm, another case of no starter bar and want to cast this evening scenario... and this time, it was the classic case of "super urgent".. and so cannot push to tmr liao.. LL must do...

sigh... badminton starts at 5.30pm, ends at 7.45pm... and i only managed to finish my stuff at 7.15pm.. by the time i finished packing up and reached the community club, 7.30pm liao... 心情真的好烂哦... and was like 一肚子的火... and really needed something to 发泄...

just so happen, the four playing ended their game.. as so alvin jio-ed me to play... seeing there was only 15 minutes left, i din bothered to change and ended up kicking off my heels, playing barefooted and in office wear... hahaha...

哪里知道, the court beside nobody booked wor.. and we shifted to that court and ended up playing till 8.30pm... and during the games, i was sandwiched with 2 very powerful smashes... one from alvin that landed on my back, and moments later, another one from eng han that landed on my tummy... wah, i'm like supposed to be the one venting anger wor... how come i ended up being some sandbag letting pple vent anger instead wor? lol...

well, all that powerful smashes aside, i had a smashing good time... 出出汗, 心情也跟着比刚才好多了...

tmr friday le... may it be the friday that "the cures" sing... "it's friday, i'm in love~~~" hahahahaha...

In Loving Memory

of my first cake attempt... lol... hahahaha... oreo cheesecake which i got the recipe from the internet... which was dumped into the bin last nite when dearie was done being the guinea piggie to try it.. keke..

both of us dunno what went wrong... it tasted abit too cheesy, yet too milky-creamy, too 腻... and somehow, it's not soft enough, like kinda hard... but looking at the recipe, the cream is supposed to help making it creamy-er and softer... but if it taste too milky-creamy and 腻? how?! conflict conflict dilemma dilemma wor...

oh well, continue to try and look into more recipes and figure out wor... 只不过, 可怜的 dearie wor... :P

overly creamy milky tasting cheesecake kinda gotten me into a not too gd mood.. argh, shldn't have added that "extra" bit of cream into the mixture la... shld have just stopped when it still tasted cheese... oh well.. 下次要主意一下了... ...

职业病啊

was on our way to bugis from bras basah after lunch today.. when brina kinda exclaimed, "我们去 singapore flyer 好不好?" daw suggested going in the evening... not so hot... and so we headed to bugis to walk walk first b4 heading to the singapore flyer...

bumped into uncle ma at bugis while buying our ice-creams.. and so asked him to join us on our no-flying-singapore-flyer expedition.. cos we only intended to go there see see look look... we weren't going for the ride.. lol..

walked quite a distance and finally reached there liao...

instead of awww-ing in awe on the magnificence of the flyer... it being the world's largest ferris wheel etc... we ended up awww-ing in awe the bolts and connections of the structure... buay tahan ah... super 职业病 lor..

Lost In The Cyber World??

received an email from brina today... it was actually a reply to wr's email.. but, the thing was, i didn't receive the email from wr wor... and so i thot, maybe email server down? server siao? and didn't really think about it liao..

... until wr's reply to brina's reply came in... then i was like, eh? where's the 1st email? and so i thot, maybe abit the slow la hor? and the same thing, until a few more replies came in, the 1st email still not in wor...

and then, it kinda dawned upon me that there was quite some time back i fwded an email from my hotmail to the company mail... and till today i never receive wor...

lost in the cyber world le ma? don't think so ba... and so, i fwded another mail from my hotmail account to the company mail.. and just now, when i checked b4 writing this post, the 1st email from wr finally came in le.. but, the long long time ago and the one i sent at 5 plus, still haven receive wor...

really lost in the cyber world le ma?? sounds so.... unbelievable wor... lol...

Wally... Eeeva...

caught wall-e with dearie, wr, brina, gl, kiat and daw at tiong barhu plaza just now... and i loved the film... but then again, how can i not love it? i mean, it's disney and pixar leh... disney's powerful story line, with pixar's animation never failing to capture minute details... how not right can it be? how not in love with the film can i be? lol...

oh, and another thing... loved this short film pixar did that was aired before the show - presto... a little appeitzer to start before the main course...

and oh, it's kinda fun, to keep hearing my own name being called by cutie wall-e throughout the show... hahahahaha...
