"Water-less"

have been kinda "water-less" these few days... the leakage prob is getting worse in the house.. not only my room's leaking.. now even the living room is leaking liao... super sianz... so mum had decided to shut the water mains...

initially i thot, oh, just cold baths... still kinda acceptable ba... till i got home on sat... then i realised it's not that simple lor... all the water in the buckets... wash face so 麻烦, brush teeth also 麻烦... go toilet the worst... flush liao, have to open the toilet cover and fill it with water... in and out, up and down, 真是他妈的麻烦 lor... want to cook maggi also cannot.. cos all the water is in the washing clothes pail... fuck fuck fuck... had to drag myself downstairs to buy food.. then so much msg, headache again... super bloody sianz big time...

now then i realised.. how i took the tap that runs so easily for granted... even thou it's just cold water running out...

oh well.. just hope this thingy ends soon... hopefully mum gets someone to fix this soon... it's gonna be a bloody mess.. cos the pipes are all cast in the slab... argh dunno la.. just hope this stupid thingy ends soon... so fucking sianz... thou only two days of all these shite and cold baths.. but so sick and tired of it already... :(

4am

i think this gang of ntu buds of mine really love 4am... *laughs*

last week, we celebrated brina's b'day. one full day of events from roller blading/cycling to having a gd meal at big splash sushi tei and lastly to ktv at suntec's kbox singing our nite till kbox closes at 4am...

and ytd, it was swimming with wr and brina in the morning, then bras brasha for brina and me while wr went for his ex colleague's baby showers b4 joining us at bras brasha... brina intended to buy a watch.. and wr recomended us to go bras brasha cos can bargain... and brina walked out with this...

after that, we headed to bugis for a little while cos there were some stuff that i wanted to get... yes i know i know that i walk to bugis everyday after work and i can get it like on monday? but the prob is that nowadays i keep working late and by the time i go bugis the shop close liao!! anyway, gotten the stuff that i needed and headed to suntec for more shopping!! keke... :P

haven seen jw for quite some time le.. the last time we all saw him was the macritchie tree top walkie gathering.. so he met up with us to go shopping as well... :)

walk one whole day, 脚都酸了, shoulders also very sore.. cos the bags full of wet swimming wear and towel is really quite heavy, esp after shopping for sooo long wor... and wr, being a sweetie, offered to carry our baggies for us... :)

ok, dawson joined us for late dinner.. so late until all super hungry liao lor... keke... and fw joined us after that...

after dinner activities were, arcade/pool, then 2 bowling games, then back to the arcade for the rest except for wr and me (we went play pool again)... till 2.30am!!! there was this particular game that they were so engrossed and sort of in love with that they almost empited their wallets for it... not sure about the others, but super sure that dawson had his wallet emptied cos he went to look for atm... haha... then wr said, "wah, 打 game 可以打到要去 atm... haha..."

am definately gonna 睡得好好 tonite... cos just came home drinking from dong cheng with annie, andy, dickson, poh yee, mee nee and nathan...

haa... "chilling out" on a thurs... but boy it feels gd to get a break from work to unwind... and esp when i'm done with that chiller water pipes thingy... really had lotsa fun... :)

just the right amount of beer to make you feel warm and fuzzy... and just wana snuggle in bed right after a shower (which is now)... awww... sound so nice and tempting already... keke... :P

In Doubt

"are you sure you're evelyn?" this is the 2nd time being asked this question by ys the moment i stepped in office...

why this question? you may wonder... actually, nothing really dramatic happen la... just that... i never wear black to office lor... keke.. and oh, neither was it a dark colour... haha...

the first was last thurs... being the last working day of the week, so that meant casual wear! keke... so i wore this white spaghetti with jeans skirt.. actually wore black blouse one.. then look in the mirror like not right leh.. cos the skirt was of a lighter shade, match with black... abit the errrr... funny lor... so changed into a white top...

today's the second... i wore this orange hand me down blouse from 二姐... note, it's a superbly bright orange blouse... matched with a white skirt...

and since it's so 难得 for me to wear something not black, neither dark colour... of cos must take photo la... haha... :P

Escalator Rides Up And Down

many times in getting this shot:

first tried taking it outside borders... not symmetrical leh... not nice leh... then sort of "realised" that the best wld be to take it on the escalator...

so down we (brina and i) went... aiya, the up riding escalator blocking... and so went up again and took the long (up 2 storeys) upriding one.. *snap* aiya... not right... went down... and decided we shld try the short upriding one... *snap* aiya.. still not right... and so we kept riding up and down the escalator trying to capture the "right shot"...

finally, after 3 (or was it 4?) times up and down the escalator... sort of gotten the shot that both of us agreed it's the best le... then we realised we were like 2 big kids riding up escalator... or perhaps to the security uncle standing there, 2 crazy woman dunno doing what... haha...

oh well, enuf that the roofie shots le... out we went to snap snap wheelock.. and now, i can't make up my mind which is better... the one with the flash, or the one w/out... so, post both ba... :P

Puuuuuummm!!!

stupid fortnightly project update meeting... they call it PUM for short... after attending it, my mood fitted perfectly as what the meeting is called.... PUUUUUMMMM!!!!!

haiz... tangled in this project... saying full time till end march and now? haha.. nobody knows liao... stupid "luwee weeton" to "kriston diore".. reframe plus revise plus redo... dunno must diao how long more... :S

i know i've only been involved for less than a year.. i know i shldn't be complaining that much cos there are pple who are diao in a project for many years... but i just can't help it.. i mean, i don't mind the designing.. but i mind when stupid pple cannot make up their mind in wanting this and that... from adding the tv to changing the outline by just that tinnie winnie bit that hell no one can see the diff but yet makes such a difference to the design.. then to the stupid additional water pipes loads to the chiller room dunno what chemical tank...

i somehow, love and hate my job at the same time... gawd... i'm blabbering nonsense and i doubt you know what i'm trying to say...

argh... monday blues... feeling blue... monday only OT liao... argh... think this supposedly to be "short week" 有的我忙了... ... ...

Almost Picked A Fight

... with some terrorist looking 变态佬 uncle at the swimming pool today...

why terrorist looking? cos he was wearing this swimming cap that extends all the way to the neck just looking like some terrorist kind of mask...

why 变态佬? cos he was practically staring at brina and me while swimming.. both underwater and above water...

when we were doing our first lap, he caught my attention with that weird looking cap swimming in the opposite direction.. and cos brina was swimming in front of me, i noticed the way his head turned toward brina every time his head was underwater... and when brina swam past him, he stared to stare at me...

and if you're wondering whether i was thinking too much, no, i wasn't.. cos brina and dawson also noticed it... so freaking sick you know this uncle... throughout the swim he just kept looking and swam near to us despite dawson's measures in making sure he's nearest to that 变态 and not us...

sbdl already... when i was doing laps, he was taking a rest, still looking as i swam towards him... i really wanted to go up and pick a fight and say something like "你上半辈子没有看过女人啊? 有什么东西那么好看?" but i didn't... i kept telling myself to let it go... and dawson said since he never touch me it's ok... i told dawson, he dare to touch me i made sure he die... haha...

anyway, while brina and i were taking a rest, that stupid idiot was still looking at us... swimming toward us.. brina asked me not to look at him.. but i stared hard and angrily at him, really going to confront him liao... then he turned and left the pool liao.. which i conviniently commented loudly to brina, "aiyo 看够了..."

气都已经气到半死了... then still kena kick in the hip bone while swimming... argh.... don't understand, with pple swimming nearby why still kick so bloody hard? *faint*

oh well... i guess it's not quite my day for swimming today....

Finally After 2 Weeks

finally, after 2 weeks, i get to 开张 the new sports bra and running shorts that i bought... *laughs*

ok, that's not the point... but part of the point... argh, i'm starting to blabber nonsense again... haha...

finally, after 2 weeks of either being down with stomach flu, or puking, or having dark gloomy weathers that kept making my heels soaked and in the danger of being spoilt (thou that gives me a very gd excuse to buy more heels.. :P), the sun is finally shining brightly today! *yipee*

finally, after 2 weeks, i've lazed and rested well enuf to have tinnie winnie rusty bones that was trying to persuade me not to go for a run...

finally, after 2 weeks, i ran! managed to keep up to that new 4-round regime and almost fainted and died with that hot scorching sun and that "rusty bones"... keke... but, i'm glad that i did go for that run.. glad i did sweat it out... out comes all the pressure and stress i faced over the past 2 weeks at work... feeling great... :)

可惜哦

stressful day at office today... realised one of my beams never cater for another secondary beam's load... and the column already cast with the starter bar le!!! *faint* this prob bugged me the whole afternoon and also had to stay back after work to try to solve this prob... with the drilling and the horrible smell from the painting of the new office, it dampened my mood further... :(

aiyo... raining again... my poor heels.. :P oh well... went bugis to walk walk abit then went home for dinner... mummy cooked!!! yummy yummy home cooked meal... :)

hmm.. think the dinner abit the too oily le... puked out half my dinner... such a pity leh.. of all things i puked out the most expensive item leh... the prawn lor... aiyo... 真的是好可惜哦... :P

seeing the lovely cutie jelly cakes with all the heart shaped strawberries just made the heart melt... it was a lovely and of course a yummylicious surprise...

Totally In Lurve

with my new camera!!! after a 5 hour battle that consisted of ...

pple psycho-ing you to buy the canon 860 IS and telling you that canon is better... making me abit the 动摇 and once again, fallen into a dilemma...

::two::
deciding between $513 (from cathay photo at peninsula plaza... that comes only with a 2gb sd card and the camera case) and $550 (from song brothers at funan: that comes with a the camera case, the 4gb sd card, the screen protector, the cleaning kit, the card reader and a extra chiong battery... but, only got black and silver colour) and $569 (from the i.t. fair, also song brothers... that comes with the camera case, 4gb sd card, the screen protector, cleaning kit, card reader, mobile charger that doesn't charge the bloody camera but the mobile phone, a very mini tripod and and extra 4gb thumbdrive... and they have all the colours!!)

deciding between the white one and the pink one... (yeap, decided to forgo that free extra batt and cheaper price for the vanity of colours.. keke..) i had initially decided on the white one cos i rmbed the pink was purely metallic.. purely metallic no good... will kena scratches easily and the colour will come off liao.. but wr and brina prefered the pink one and kiat said the white one very plain.. and so i took the pink one and bio at it for one more time.. and then i realised... it's not metallic metallic lor.. it was like the white, got this extra coating to protect the metallic colour one... awww... my heart just melted right there...

very big dilemma... if i buy the pink one, dearie wld prob kill me wor... keke.. :P and so i called him and discussed with him... he said up to me wor... oh well, will feel abit bad if i bought the pink one.. cos dearie won't use wor... so i decided on the white one...

until i was queuing to pay for it, i was still in a big dilemma... pink or white? pink or white? ah.. desperate liao wor.. so i asked brina, wr and kiat again... pink or white? 3 thumbs up for pink... and at the paying counter, i changed it to pinkie... brina said that if i bought the white one, i will keep thinking about the pink one... to which i agree... hee.. :P

but also must thankie dearie :)
(thankie dear, even thou you'll feel awkward using a pinkie camera, you still let me buy it.. cos you know i love it so muchie...)

alrighty, and now i present to you, my new ms pinkie camera!!!

痛... 不痛... 痛... 很痛...

argh... stomach flu came to visit, again... this morning already had felt the tummy churning, but it was minor... so i thot was just some normal cramps, or rather some pre-menstral cramps...

after my morning coffee... i once again, performed the merlion stunt, throwing up my coffee... but cos i felt so much better after throwing up and the tummy didn't hurt already, i struck off the idea of seeing a doctor...

nothing happened... hey! ok le!... until after dinner just now... the tummy started to turn and churn again... while watching tv, the pain got worse, but as stubborn as a mule at times, i decided to just endure... till i was msn-ing with wr just now.. really buay tahan liao... very pain!!! superbly unbearable...

and that's when i finally dragged myself to the nearest clinic at tiong barhu...

stomach flu, yet again... but the doc did say that it's too frequent for a stomach flu since i got it like last 2 weeks ago? and the other previous time was like 2~3 months ago... doc said that it cld also be that i have very sensitive intestines and so when i eat the wrong kind of food unacceptable to the system this will happen...

oh well, he also did mention that if the problem persists, he might have to refer me to a gastrologist to do a detail check... gawd... just really hope nothing happens... just let it be what doctor always say "stomach viral infection - stomach flu"...

pls stomach flu, pls... 别再跟我称兄道弟了... it's really awful to have you ard...

LuuuuuuuMix

almost fainted in the i.t. show hall... so the crowded for the 1st day of an i.t. show lor...

went to check out on the 2 brands that i've shortlisted from all the other brands: canon and panasonic

the canon promoter sucks big time... lousy service.. don't bother to explain, don't bother to promote.. i got to play and test with the ixus 860 IS for a while... totally don't like the feel of it.. totally dunno how to use the camera and since the promoter don't seem to be interested in promoting, brina and i left and headed to the panasonic counter instead..

having in mind to check out the lumix fx33... the promoter showed me a newer model... fx36.. it looks exactly like the fx33 just that it's one with more megapixel (10.1) and with a wider lens (25mm)... tested here and there... brina and i agreed that this is way much better than that stupid canon...

kinda in love with the lumix camera... but i can't seem to get an extra battery for the bundle... and i can't really make up my mind between the fx33 and the fx36... $100 difference leh...

and it comes in nice colours! like the pink (more like purple leh.. and it's metallic), the white (pearly pearly one) and the black... but only the black for the fx33 is nice.. not for the fx36 thou...

*prays for a better deal the next time i go get it.. either a saturday or a sunday *

oooh... so excited already... and so in love with it already... hee.. :P

oh well... tmr will just be the "gathering brochures" part... then will filter here and there, ask for advice... if i've decided on anything, then sunday, round 2 in getting the stuff...

hmm... i wonder if i'll bump into the guys whom i used to sell laptops for... the hp pple and the toshiba pple... well, they did see me at the previous fair... keke..

thou i know i shldn't be spending already, but i really hope i can get a digi cam this i.t. fair... and oh, still got that external hard disk leh... aiyo... 怎么办???

anyway, enuf of that... just now near knocking off time, tun was copying his work file from the concourse server back to the gmt server... it was taking quite a long time then he said to ys, "i think the copying so slow because of evelyn" and i went "har? what? what me? why me?"

tun started laughing and said.. "no, i said i think the copying so slow because of the evening time..."

饭前饭后

decided to da bao food from the market today... somehow am getting kinda sick of maggi and spaghetti... thots of it kinda gross me out abit.. guess i ate too much of both over the past month le... keke.. :P

today's weather's pretty cold... 又下雨了... but din rain when i knocked off from work thou...

dunno why... many stalls in the market never open... which left me with not much choices to choose from.. 60% close to 70% of the stalls are closed... maybe today's monday, 巴杀没开?? aiya, dunno la... also sian of eating 煮炒 from 欢喜... so settled for chicken rice instead...

as i stepped out of the market, walking the slope up back home... started to rain le... drizzle drizzle... since it's just a short journey home, didn't bother to take the brelly out...

hmm... was wondering as i made my way back home, looking at my running route, how it would feel like to run in the rain... reliving the old secondary school days, where it always seem to rain whenever it comes to its annual cross country...

took this photo in quite a hurry cos the drizzle seemed to be getting heavier by the minute... i kinda like this tree... somehow just find this tree pretty unique.. am always finding a time to wana take a pic of it.. i cld have well taken it when i'm on my way to the mrt, or when i'm on my way back home... but dunno why always never leh... well, i finally did, in a hurry that ended with such a blurry effect.. haha...

kinda blur... but somehow... blur 到蛮美的, 不是吗?? keke...

there's this feeling inside me... that this pic wldn't have turned out as nice if it wasn't blur... what do you think? keke.. :P

Superwomen Brina & Me

*phew* finally done with that whole pail of laundry... mom's gone to genting and will only be back on wed... which means i have to wash the clothes for these few days... tired~~~

morning 5 plus kena woken up by mom telling me this and that b4 she left for genting... aiyo, actually i dunno what she was blabbering.. i just "orh, okie, orh, okie..." all the way... :P

knocked out, went back to bed and wokie at 8.30am... prepared and pack up the stuff for swimming!!!

but... the 老天又有点不作美 wor.. skies so the darkie at redhill...

aiyo... why lydat? ytd lydat, today also lydat wor... but brina and i just whack and went ahead with the swimming... keke... during our swim, it drizzled abit... but not heavy to the extent where the lifeguard peepee-d us to shoo us out of the pool... :P brrr... the water very the coooold ah... so both of us just kept swimming... and the 1km was finished in just slightly more than an hour's time... swim until, when we were getting out of the pool via that ladder thingy... aiyo, 脚软哦~~~

after the swim, we went to le meriden hotel food court for korean food!! yummy... it's been quite some time since we ate there le... after that, it was down to ps for my hair cut...

i almost snipped off my hair, cutting it short... real short kind... eh, almost la... but didn't.. keke... can't say 不舍得, also can't say 会心痛... i just hate the growing long process... cos have to spend money to keep trimming, then rebond... aiyo... a painful process to let the hair grow long again... and so, half the volume of the hair's gone... but i still look the same... keke.. cut liao like never cut...

shopped abit in ps, and then we headed towards taka for shopping... saw this interesting dunno what kinda pretty flower outside the istana... and so i snap snap.. :P

shopping with brina's really fun... i really enjoyed myself... and also burnt quite a big hole in my pocket... came home with about $120 worth of stuff... aiyo, just 2 days after pay day only wor... must save save liao... keke...

but hor, on our way to the mrt station, we saw many stores with lotsa post cny sales.. brina asked whether i wana go see see look look.. but i said my things already so many 手都不够拿 le wor... keke... other day ba... hee... :P

i think both of us rather 厉害 wor... ytd's outing from 9am~10pm with 6 hours of non stop walking, today 9am~7pm with 1km swim and "脚软软" shopping... superwomen wor... keke... dunno tmr go office will jelly anot.. keke.. :P

6 Hours Non Stop

organised a macritchie tree top walkie gathering for today... response was pretty good! apart from me myself, brina, dawson, guan kiat, feng wei, jia wang and weirong turned up too...

oh, side track abit.. keke... today's the first time my running shoe 出远门 wor... buy for so long le, only always get to go downstairs wor... :P

met 9am at novena for bfast first... hmm... 天有点不作美 wor... heavy downpour everywhere (erm, except my place.. keke..)... while on my way to novena, jw smsed "did anyone one book an appointment with the sun? cos it's pouring over at my side (sembawang)".. i replied, "i think i did make an appointment, but it's after bfast thou.. hope it doesn't 爽约.. keke.."

after bfast at mac, the rain subsided... *phew* what a close shave... took a bus down to macritchie... thou still drizzling slightly, we decided to just go ahead...

our journey... 6 hours of non stop walking!!! from 11am~5pm!!! we started out walk from the bus stop, into the track towards the tree top, to the watever short cut at the island country club there, to the ranger trail thingy, to the tree top (finally, after ard 3 hours), down to the ranger trail thingy, up to jelutong tower (6 flights of spiral stairs up), then walkie back to macritchie park, our starting point...

6 hours for 10km almost 11km is very 夸张 i suppose... actually, i also dunno how much we walked.. this is just a rough estimate from the guys.. jw said it might have been more wor... oh well, we were walking not too fast, with many stops cos i wana take pics, also for group photos... plus quite some time spent at the suspension tree top bridge to make our walk worth it.. :P as well as time spent at jelutong tower... so lor... 6 hours non stop... 脚好酸哦~~~

and tmr, brina and i are siao enough to be meeting 10am at delta swimming complex for a 20-lap 1km swim... keke... after which i shall go trim my hair... (finally after saying that i shld go trim after 3 weeks liao)...

oh ya, it's pretty unlikely of me not to post up pics... well, part of the reason is i wana get the pics taken from kiat's camera (cos that's where all the grp pics are), sort it then post.. the other reason being i'm very tired le... not much energy left to wait for blogger to upload all the pics...

oh well, some other time ba... gtg zzz le... catch as much rest as i can b4 my 2nd round of exercise tmr...

Desperate Findings

for a haversack for my tree top walkie with the ntu gang tmr... gotta go for quite a long walk, must bring extra clothes la, water bottle la, umbrella la... so, best to bring haversack so can walk with more ease...

dig here, find there, climb up, climb down, still can't find any haversack wor... alamak, started to panick liao... i rmb i still have my haversack one leh.. i rmbed i never throw away leh... 好不容易, 终于给我找到了... the 2 very very old haversack that i have since secondary school days...

ok, presenting to you haversack no. 1... miss supposedly-to-be-dark-blue-but-lat-sake-liao outdoor haversack... this, was my school bag when i entered secondary school... it used to be the siao craze lor... like 99% of the pple carries an outdoor bag lor... *laughs* hmm... sec 1 till now... that is 1997 to 2008... woah, 11 years le wor!!!!

coming up next, haversack no. 2... miss-adidas-one-side-"sling" haversack... hmm... i got this haversack in sec 4... cos dearie also had a bag like that... haversack but it's slinged on one side one... (actually, i also dunno whether you know what the hell i'm talking.. keke..) ok, this is much better ba, never lat-sake, not so oooold looking, and of course, not as old as the outdoor bag... it's like 8 years old? haha... actually both also equally old wor...

hmm... dilemma dilemma... dunno which haversack to use wor... wana use the outdoor one.. thou the strap abit the broken le but still the most comfy one... but the lat-sake hor... aiyo, cannot make it leh... wana use the adidas one, but, cos all the weight will be on one side of the shoulder, dunno will be very heavy and thus carry until very tired anot wor...

oh well, at least i found the 2 haversacks... thank god... if not i'd be forced to bring the one that pb-rc gave last year... haha...

yeap, this's the one...
