Over And Over Again

blogging about mobile phones just last nite, mum got a new hp today... some nokia E51... so many the functions, but mum only needs like 2? to call out and to take photographs...

ot-ed till 7.30pm... feeling so darn tired cos din have enuf sleep from all the disturbance from mozzies, froggies and some idiotic neighbours... thot i cld just go home, eat, shower, blog then zzz le... but after my dinner, i had to set up the new phone for her, making it as simple as possible...

a few missions for the nite!! teach her how to make phone calls, how to take photographs and how to on/off the phone and how to lock keypad... the making phone calls part was easy... so was the photograph taking part... now here comes not so tricky part of on-ing and off-ing the phone and lastly, the one which took a hell lot of time, the locking keypad part...

first of all, have to tell her to press the on/off button once (cannot hold) then press the silver button (supposedly to be the down button) to go to the "锁键盘" option and select... then you have to tell her to press this blue button then the "*" button to unlock the phone... and that took me more than half an hour... with she still constantly (yes, right now when i'm blogging this entry) coming into my room and asking over and over how to do it again...

lucky hp contracts are 2 years, which also means she changes her hp every 2 years... cos every change takes her some time for her to adapt to a new phone... which means i'll expect her to ask me this and that from time to time... can you imagine if hp contracts are only half a year? haha... *faint*... :P

oh well, thou she's complaining about the new phone being 麻烦 and stuff, but can see that she's quite happy la... and that's most important... :)

Mobile Galore: Zero Temptation

da bao-ed food after my run (4 rounds yipee!) cos am pretty sick of eating maggi or spaghetti le... just when i finished my dinner going to make myself a cup of ribena, received a call from aaron and uncle ma asking me out for dinner cos they were at the temp chinatown market there... since i already had my dinner, so i went down to meet them for a drink while they had their dinners...

they said they had trouble getting me on my mobile... said something wrong with it... got meh? bo leh, i still can receive sms and make phone calls what... nothing wrong leh... and so aaron mentioned about something about getting a new phone... and i said that my contract only ends in june, which happens to fall on fw's b'day wor...

anyway, i've totally forgotten that i can renew my contract from the 21st month onwards without having to pay that extra $100... which means that it's next month la... so just now when i got home, just see see look look m1 webbie and suddenly it dawned upon me that there's no need for me to change my mobile wor...

i used to be so in love with new models that look pretty or have certain functions... i always cldn't wait for my 2 year plan to end and i ended up either buying the phone at retail price or paying that extra $100 when the contract had past 1 year... but now? i'm actually very satisfied with the current phone i'm using wor... apart from normal phone calls and smses i make, the other usage i have for my phone now is take photographs...

now, thinking again, looking at all the different hp models, as well as the functions that new mobiles offers... 3G la, walkman phone la, wifi la, 3~5 megapixal camera etc... i actually don't need all these wor... 3G? i don't video call wor.. not as if it's free anyway.. mp3 functions? i already have my 宝贝 ipoddie wor.. camera? it's afterall, still a phone lor, with quality limitations... so many megapixel also no use if the quality of the shoot is not gd la... and anyway, i'll be getting a new camera soon, prob in june...

and now, i'm like left with only 2 functions that i need... to make/receive calls, and to sms... and i wouldn't have a prob looking for a phone like that cos that's what all mobile phones can do lor... so i don't think i will be that siao to be paying sky high prices for new mobiles like what i used to do le...

and so, for the first time i'm actually saying this, dear nokia-6280 that i'm using and love, pls be usuable for as long as you can... thou you may not be the best phone, you're still a great phone.. cos also for the first time, i'm not interested in wanting to get a new phone... :)

Fortune Cookie

last week, geraldine gave us one fortune cookie each, bought from guardian.. i din eat it right away, cos was busy doing my work... she walked past, saw the cookie still on my desk and asked why i din eat and said that i shld eat it and see what "fortune" lies inside the cookie fos it supposedly was quite accurate for some of the pple in the office...

well, i'm not a very big fan of fortune cookies... aiya, the things they write inside always so general one... more like 敷衍?? anyway, i ate it the next day, cos hungry la... keke.. :P

why the sudden mention of something that happened last week? actually, just now, logged into blogger, created new post, then the brain just sort of jammed there... suddenly dunno what to blog wor... and so i went to getty images and searched under "random", in hopes to find a picture that relates to me or one that i can relate to...

really got wor... and that's the one shown below...

and you know what? the vacation thingy was my "fortune" written in my fortune cookie wor... thou not exactly the same la, but it meant the same thing... still rmbed mine wrote something like "a vacation is near" or something lydat la...

haha, wat a coincidence wor...

五连拍

met up with brina and dawson for a swim at delta swimming complex just now... it's really been some time since i swam... same for the both of them... still rmbed that swimming used to be our weekly thing during very long break times...

managed to swim 1km today... happy!!! :) so did brina... dunno how much dawson swam thou.. he was like some siao person, just kept swimming and swimming wor... oh ya, we saw this 2 gals at the pool.. they are really power leh... not only did they have their make up on, one of them even still had her dangling earrings on and wearing some pearl necklace lor... we were all saying that these 2 not there to swim one lor... keke.. :P

after the swim, met up with fengwei at city hall for dinner... had been siao-ing jap food lately, so dawson suggested indian food @ esplanade... very authentic indian restaurant with nice curries... eat until very the full as usual.. aiya, all the swim no more liao la... keke..

decided to take a walk at the roof terrace of the esplanade to 消化消化... got these few trees with very nice flowers wor... but, argh, no camera... so just make do the hp... :P

and after all the flower taking, dunno why, all of us were in a camwhoring mood... and dunno why, dunno how, we all were siao enuf to do the 五连拍 at the roof top... which of cos led us with roars of laughter while doing that...

after all that crazy stuff... it's down to tcc for a drink and tiramisu... oooh, lovely...

woah, what a wkend... just ended like that... without really realising it... :P

In Loving Memory

of my fav pair of slippers which had walked with me for the past 4 years... you finally gave way today, beyond repair...

and becos you gave way when i was on my way to city hall, i had to get a new pair so that i wouldn't be "limping" my way around...

it's such a pity... i really loved that pair of slippers.. even thou it's not as squashy and spongey as before, even thou the base grips have worn out making me be very careful of my every step when walking on slippery and wet floors.. i still loved it...

oh well, hopefully this new pair can last at least as long as the previous pair...

Changed Views

think my mum really enjoys waking me up early in the morning.. keke.. i can't say she waking me up is not a good thing.. afterall, she's the one who'd scream me out from bed when i'm still lazing on particularly mornings... :P

but i guess you know what i'm referring to actually... and that's the 洗刷刷 "music" from her washing board... thinking that i can wakie late today, eh... apparently i didn't la.. but, to look on the brighter side... at least her 洗刷刷 didn't start at 7.30am like ytd but at ard 9am this morning? keke...

ok, enuf of morning blabbers, let's rewind abit to ytd's happenings... met up with andy at ps for a movie before heading to ecp... and we caught this film...

was pretty surprised that this film was still showing... i thot i had missed it for good.. but apparently not... thou pretty disgustingly gore (told andy that it was a wickedly funny but disgusting show.. keke..), i enjoyed every moment of it... :)

but.... what a show before a bbq!!! andy and i were joking after the show that we shalln't get near any raw food or drink any drinks that's red... and guess what? the drinks were fruit punch lor... (-_-)'''

thot that the bbq at ecp wld be pretty boring thou... cos afterall, i'm not that "aquainted" with the cs dept... but to admit, i had pretty much fun... with marc's cutie baby boy and dr yong's 2 very active boys... aiya, what a pity i didn't get to take photographs with them wor...

haa, it's like a pure blessing that i wasn't siao enuf to run the 5th round ytd... cos i was playing catching with dr yong's 2 boys... aiyo, run round and round, until i so tired... also 满身大汗 wor... but they're really cuties!!! and marc still said that next time i will give birth to a football team of kids wor... *faint*

was glad i decided to go for the bbq thou... get to know more pple from my dept, mingle with them... and most importantly, i kinda enjoyed myself pretty much... hmm... perhaps next time i wldn't be that skeptical about not fitting in and enjoying cs outing anymore... :)

Burst Of Energy

haha!!! suicidal 4th round no more!!! hee... i had so much energy that i almost ran 5 rounds! almost la... but thinking that later i got dept bbq at east coast and having this gut feeling the bbq pit is some place where i have to walk like shite, i better don't attempt in myself a jelly... keke... :P

i'm not supposed to wakie so early today... in fact, i was intending to wakie late, let myself have more rest after all the exhaustion that work, especially the ramp-ing brought me the past 2 weeks... well, i was woken up by mum's 洗刷刷 on the washing board at 7.30am... yeap, washing clothes again... well, at least she didn't wash clothes at 5am or 6am like what she normally do... :P tried going back to bed, but only managed to flip here and there till i really buay tahan and wakie at 8.30am...

thou i woke up early, but feeling kinda refreshed thou... "feel" the tummy... hmm, seems ok le :)look at the weather, very nice cooling weather with not so hot sun wor... and, past 2 days never run le wor... plus, ytd ate so much at the ministry of food (jap restaurant at bugis)... the food is yummylicious!!! so, better go run ba... hee..

well, i'm glad i did run... not only i've successfully attempted my 4th round without jelly-ing myself, i'm also feeling more refreshed!!!

Quack Doctor - Doctor Quek

was blogging about run & ramp ytd... initially i typed "runs" then i wondered, hmm, "runs" sounds like 拉肚子... and guess what? this morning i really did wor... 而且还拉了三次 wor... :S

grr... diarrhea... after the 3rd time from the toilet, told ys i wana go see doc... and so off i went to the clinic at keypoint... was a long wait just to see the doc... and while waiting, was thinking what the doc wld tell me... i think he will tell me it's stomach flu...

went in le... he asked me wat happened.. so i told him diarrhea.. and off he went with the standard questions... "did you vomit?" (no) "any stomach cramps?" (abit) "is it mensus cramps? (no).. waliew... i really don't understand lor... what makes the doc think that i can't differentiate tummy aches from tummy cramps?? *faints*

anyway, after all that thingy, which was quite fast (dunno why everytime is other pple see doc so long, you gotta wait so long.. but when it's your turn to go see the doc, it's like super fast and you can go out to wait for your medicine le... oh well...), the doc told me i can go out to wait to collect my medi le... he hor, like some quack doctor (蒙古大夫) one.. never even tell me what happened to me.. i had to ask him lor...

and he said "oh, it's stomach viral infection, stomach flu..." haa, i knew it... i expect that he wld say that... that time when i vomited he also said the same thing... i think that's like the only sickness he knows? keke... lydat i also can be doctor liao wor... he is quack doctor... i is doctor quek... thou spelling different, but pronounciation is the same wor... keke... :P

oh well, lame stuff aside, i'm feeling better le... tummy acheys and diarrhea no more!! :)

The 2 R's In My Life: [R]un & [R]amp

forced myself not to run... yes, i had to literally force myself not to run by having dinner the moment i get home and then a bath after a rest from the filling and yummylicious dinner.. mum just knows what to cook to make my appetite goood... :)

oh yes, i've side tracked abit here.. keke.. :P as i was saying, i had to force myself not to go for a run today... why? cos i brought work home... and die die must complete today... actually, i brought work home last nite too, but i also went for my run... then why today cannot? you might wonder... cos today's work is way more than last nite's... last nite i brought back the last few spans of the detailing back... but today.. i have more than half of the ramp beam to be detailed... that's like 20-over spans? so i sort of can't afford to run today and tire myself out... gotta save the energy for the ramp...

having been consistently running daily since last sat, it's really difficult not to run today... as i walked back home from the mrt station, i looked at my running route... it was like "why aren't you running today? :(" yes, with that saddie-face emoticon... aiyo... it was really a dilemma... i was like "shld i? shld i not? i really want to run leh.. but... cannot leh..." what a struggle... and now, tummy filled, bath taken, i have this 浑身不自在 feeling... die... i think i've gotten the i'm-addicted-to-running disease... :P

ok, running issues aside... akar, the drafter who draws my ramp is finally back from his trip back home in burma... and he got everyone a gift!!! the guys were given a card holder, whereas the gals were given a pencil case...

oh well, i don't know whether it's just me or what... sometimes i just feel like a 白老鼠, used for certain experiments and stuff... things are always, like a test... but yet these "tests" requires sooo much effort...

the results you get, is that what they want? is that what you want? will it be used? or will it just be a comparison to some others and then chucked aside? sometimes i just ask myself, are all these effort put in worth it? or is it a waste of my time?

在这鼠年里, 一个属鼠的我, 感觉像只白老鼠... ... ... haa... all the "鼠"...

See-Pee-Airf

tupid webbie!!! tupid tupid gahmen see-pee-airf webbie!!! sooo not the user friendly one...

first, want to find the tupid link to see how much school fees i owe... aiyo, look here and there cannot find... so used the search function, typed in "cpf study loan", and they gave me a list of results... so by right, when you click on that tupid link it's supposed to link you to where you wana go rite? that is by right la... but no lor... they hooha you here and there... grrr.... 好不容易, 终于给我找到了... wah!!! i look at the amount.... *faint*

second, am supposed to print out some forms to mail back to cpf cos i want to start my repayment of the ntu tuition fees... then, they link me to this page... nb, it's one freaking whole page of forms lor!!!

scroll, scroll, scroll.... finally found the 2 forms that i need... the lump sum repayment form and the monthly giro form... open and see the lump sum repayment form... idiot... must pay using cheque... have to ask sis to do it for me... tupid rite? ask sis to write cheque to pay money back into her own cpf... then after that i have to fund transfer to her... kaoz, can't they have a form that just does the giro thingy!!! since you already have giro form for monthly payment liao, why cannot have giro form for lump sum payment? tupid tupid tupid lor!!!

oh ya, the funny thing i read was... you can make your loan payment via you know what? axs machine!!! haa... i'm am seriously amazed...!!!

oh well... idiot la... just want to pay off my tuition fee loan only... must go thru soooo much trouble... grrr... tupid! tupid! tupid!!!

Almost

... brought work home, again... but i didn't.. cos think i really need that rest off from work...

... ran the 4th round... was mentally prepared for it actually... but still didn't... cos i feel the physical part of it is still not prepared for it yet... think i need more training.. but currently, i think i'm getting better thou... cos i think i'm running at a faster pace lately wor... ytd was lydat.. today also lydat wor... hmm... maybe the body's preparing itself for my 4th round wor.... hee... :P

... did another set of situps... but also didn't... by the end of the 2nd set of 50, i'm already feeling jelly le... jello jelly kind somemore... :P

some pple say i'm very hardworking wor... keeping such a healthy lifestyle.. all the running and all the situps...

some pple say i'm siao... keep running... some asked whether i'm too stressed up...

actually, i also dunno... i don't want to think too much too... feel the need to run.. then run lor... run liao, sweat it out, feel refreshed... then gd lor... running also can lose weight, also be healthy ma... since i'm a well know foodie.. always eat eat eat... run off all the things i eat lor... keke... in the end, it all boils down to one important thing... 开心就好... hee... :P

End Of My Ramp-ing Wkend

i think i gotta stop saying i'm crazy liao.. keke... but some part of me just can't help it la... cos i can't believe that i'm like sooo addicted to running nowadays... and by saying that, you'll prob know that i went for a run, again...

ya i know, i said i wanted to lie in bed and read and relax... i did... for like one chapter of the book then dunno why, just felt like running... actually, is becos felt my tummy very the bloated and bulging... so went to run... :P

met dawson and brina to go check out the travel fair... city hall area today not very crowded wor.. funny leh... even the travel fair also pretty dead lydat... after that we went to marina square m)phosis to shop... while on the way to suntec to meet brina, i saw that m)phosis got sale!!! my favourite 4 letter word wor... keke... and it's 50~70% somemore wor... that's why brina and i purposely went to marina square outlet to check it out... :P

the two, with their powers combined again... (that time that red dressie also both combined powers wor... keke..) i went out of m)phosis with 2 dressies... but very worth it... cos i spent less than $50 for both the dressies... no blackie this time.. one white and the other brown... with that two around... also difficult not to try other colours... haha...

went to waraku for dinner... yummy yummy the food... we even ordered hot sake... the warm sake in the tummy, making it so fuzzy and warm... oooh, very nice feeling wor... :P

Flying Time

alamak! going to 4pm le?!!! aiyo, progress very the slow leh... argh... having a bloody headache now... seeing all the numbers until i tao gong gong liao... later still meeting brina and dawson at 6pm to check out on the travel fair at suntec...

dilemma dilemma... shld i go catch a short nappie or shld i continue my work?? take nappie in this kind of hot afternoon, scared later wakie le, bloody headache still there... but continue my work... keep yawning leh... grrr...

hmm... think i go take a breakie, lie in bed and do some reading ba... relax a bit... hee.. :P

ghee... 1am plus le... i have unknowingly worked from 3pm~1am... my eyes.... wana close le... my back... wana break le... and i think i'm still a far way from completion... :S

oh ya, dearie bought me an eeyore soft toy today!!! so the cutie!!! thank you darling... seeing this cutie instantly brightened me up from all the work that i've been doing the whole day... :)

B-E-A-U-Tiful Saturday Morning

10 hours of sleep... deep deep, non-disturbed, 一觉到天亮, gd sleep planted a huge smile on my face as i awake this morning... :)

washed up, downed a cup of water, rest abit, changed and off i went for my run... "11 plus le.. surely very the hot one.." but to my surprise, there was no sun! and it was pretty breezy in fact... making my 3-round run pretty comfy...

da bao-ed lunchie for mum and me on the way back home... watched a bit of tv, and after a good cold shower, here i am, sitting in front of the computer, blogging b4 i start my work.. despite the hot sun out there now, it's still really windy over here... making me so tempted to go take a nappie... :P

mum's very persistent in asking me to go aunt eunice's place to 拜年... but i dowan... cos go there not only i can't do my work, i can't take a nappie, there's also nothing to do there... place so darn bloody ulu somemore.. and i'm pretty persistent in insisting that i dowana go... keke.. :P hopefully she doesn't force me to go...

ok, i shall go make myself a nice cup of tea b4 i start my work on the forever turning round and round ramp... and maybe after that, a nappie... hee.. :P

a beautiful saturday morning, gd sleep, nice weather, fufilling run, slow paced morning, and a nice cup of tea coming up... aahh... think you know what i'm gonna say... keke...

i'm officially happy and satisfied... :)

Eerie Costly Friday: Just Not A Really Great Day

hmm... how shld i start? (think think think...) ok, let's just start by saying i din run today... *laughs* cos that gut feeling that i will OT today? did came true... anyway, it's an eerie and costly night... argh... can't believe that i'm reminscing about it to blog it... oh well, since i'm at it, might as well finish it la hor? keke.. :P

ok, so here it goes... gmt office was totally cleared out by 7.30pm today... well, all cleared out except me... thou it's not my first time OT-ing alone in the office... but today was kinda eerie leh... after tun left the office, office became kinda 怪怪 wor... the printer, offline for so long le, suddenly ee-ee-orh-orh dunno do what.. office so the quiet, suddenly this kind of ee-ee-orh-orh kinda made me jump...

then was the toilet... on the way to the toilet, pushed the door to the lift lobby open, it creaked lor... and creaked all the way when it was closing too.... *shivers* OT so many times, go toilet so many times also never realise this wor... anyway, when i went in, got the running water sound wor... oh well, i told myself, it's the pipes la... but the water keep running wor... until i came out wanna wash hands then no more le...

went back, yeap, the creaking door again... and continued my work... then this time, the plotter decided that it shld play the same freaking game that the printer did ard an hour ago... grrr...

"i'm tired le... that's why all this weird generations of stuff in the brain to scare myself... go home, go home..." and so i did... (with a baggage of work... argh...)

looking at the time, ghee, 9 plus le wor... dunno wana take cabbie or walk to mrt station... oh well, take cabbie ba.. got one bag of work to carry... take cabbie also can reach home faster... so, da bao-ed dinner at the food store there, and took cabbie home...

thot cld catch some rest in the cabbie... but aiyo, the taxi uncle really talkative leh.. keep talking non-stop... from dunno what 王力宏 concert to the recent edison's scandal... grrr... anyway, the uncle said that chingay was having its rehearsal shite, and suggested taking the expressway back cos it'll be very jammed... well, since all routes cost me roughly the same amount to get back home, then ok lor...

aiyo, 哪里知道, haven even gone 200m up the expressway, jam liao... nb... traffic was crawling lor... but not the meter lor... usually it costs me around $7 to get home... but when the meter hit $7, i haven even saw the ferris wheel lor... grr...

finally saw the ferris wheel le... initially wanted to take a pic of it one... then saw this bright emas recovery tow truck at the side... alamak, accident!!! that's why the jam... and........... i saw one covered body with the legs sticking out from the white sheets just by the truck!!! (or is it two? aiya, dunno la, think i saw 2 legs, but think i saw 2 pairs of legs... arh, enuf... grrr...) argh.. bad day, bad day, bad day... and the taxi uncle kept talking and talking and was like, "一定是那个 lorry 撞那个 motor 的.. 不然不会当场死亡的..."

cabbie fare of $10.40... from gmt to home... woah... reminded me of that $13 cabbie fare from paya lebar to sim lim square the other time with aaron and uncle ma... eerie costly friday... eerie things happening (hmm, it's all in the head... it's all in the head... :P) costly cabbie fare and saw an accident that costed lives...

p/s: to think i haven gotten enuf scares tonite... while blogging, my specs box dropped on the floor (kena blown by the super strong and cooold wind), giving me another jump... grrr... think i shld turn in early... it's definately gonna be a better day tmr... with a morning (hopefully morning) run to start the day... and work (grrr) after that... sometimes, i really hate myself for giving in to work... oh well... enuf of eerie, scary, saddie almost depressie shite... tmr will be a better day!!! :)

A Different Valentine

today's valentine's day.. where restaurants are fully booked with reservations... i believe even the most 难吃 restaurant is also fully booked... :P

met up with dawson, dawson's friend (yan-something... yanling?? oops :P), weirong, brina and boon for dinner @ bugis... dawson initially wanted to go this jap restaurant called ministry of food... but dunno why the place never pick up the phone when he phoned in a couple of times to make a reservation for today.. and just now, when he arrived earlier at bugis, that place fully booked le...

weirong was a sweetie wor... he bought tulips for us gals from the nursery near the site he's working at... as he boasted, "take out from the freezer one hor"... keke... and that one bouquet was distributed among us 3 gals...

ate sooo muchie wor... aiyo.. we ordered dessert somemore... all the sinful chocolate fudge, mudpie, ice-cream, cheesecake... aiyo... 真的很 sinful leh... lucky got ytd's run to 垫底.. but think tmr have to run to burn off somemore... :P oh, and that's provided i don't have to OT tmr la... (have this gut feeling that i have to OT wor) if not, then is sat le...

tulips are one kind of flowers that are pretty 短命 one... and with the warm temperature, it started to bloom le... one by one...

tmr bring the flowers back to office... see how much longer it can survive... :P

thankie guys... i had a blast today... really enjoyed myself thoroughly... many thanks to dawson: for organising tonite's outing... weirong: for the lovely tulips... boon: for the chocolates... :)

it's a different v-day for me this year... w/out dearie here... celebrating v-day with my bunch of really gd friends...

Not Yet

felt a need to run today... i think i'm getting insane.. cos i can't seem to stop running!! *laughs*

actually, during the previous run just 2 days ago, i felt that i cld once again attempt the suicidal 4th round.. cos i was kinda comfortable with the 3 rounds... but something tells me it's a dillusion, the same dillusion i had the other time thinking i cld do it and almost killed myself with that extra round.. keke..

but today, the 3 rounds were pretty much comfy.. despite today's run was somewhat the most antagonizing and uncomfortable one.. i know, this sounds contradictory.. but those who know will know; those who don't? well i can only say... too bad la... :P

anyway, i was really close to doing the 4th round today... but i didn't cos mum was waiting at home for me to come back from my run then go out have dinner together... so must chop chop finish my run, go home bathe, then out i go again...

think i'm crazy enuf to say this... but i'm kinda looking forward to my 4th round... where this once suicidal-4th-round-making-me-a-jelly is part of my running regime... hee... :P

Something Different

spent an hour (unknowingly) at kinokuniya walking, browsing and reading and i still can't find a book that appeals to me...

i don't really know what i want actually.. i'm just sick of reading typical america novels where gal is successful but can't find a guy, and when she intend to give up hope and stuff there's this guy who comes along, and hey, it works out!! or this gal with a happy family, then something happens, this other guy comes and in the end things work out... you know, this kind of everyday tell tales...

i want to read something different... dawson suggested me trying sci fi/fantasy stuff... i don't know actually... this is something really new... perhaps i shld go down to the library sometime this week, see what i can get, b4 i lay hands on a brand new book for reading and for keeping...

A Struggle

in deciding whether to go for a run after work just now... want to run... but lazy... aiyo.. dilemma dilemma... dunno wana go bugis walk walk or go home run... but in the end, settled for the run... glad that i made that decision, and 3 rounds off i go....

kin fook suggested doing situps if dowana run... and i said i rather run, almost immediately... hmm... interesting leh.. i used to rather do 100 situps than to go run lor.. and now i actually said i rather run? some wire must be loose somewhere.. haha...

i used to hate running to the core.. don't ask me why, i dunno either, just dislike it.. but now? i have to admit that my dislike for running has decreased... and perhaps that's why that reply to kf?? *laughs*

well, i still like doing situps thou.. cos that's like my strongest "point" la... haha... always my 5-pointer when taking the stupid nafa test... and at home, 2 sets of 50... chop chop finish, and exercise finish le wor... keke... which come to think of it, i very looong time never do situps le wor.. hmm... maybe after this post can go do... hee...

hmm... think i shld... and after that, a nice, gd, long shower and an early nite... all the cny celebrating had pretty much messed up my bio clock le... keke.. :P

Must Wear

gave dearie a call 2 days back when he was touring in beijing.. managed to catch him while he was up at the great wall of china... initially he asked whether i wanted the 5 soft toy dolls of the olympics.. costs ￥98 just for 5 tinnie winnie dolls smaller than that of the palm.. one key chain costs ￥39... i said don't want la.. buy liao surely is chuck one side one... waste money...

gave him another long dist call at nite when i was back from sis's place.. he told me over the phone that he got me something... something very traditional... and he said... "must wear"... and i was like.. "orh... okie..."

dearie's back from beijing... just video called him and demanded he show me the gift.. initially he only showed me the box... i was thinking, "a bangle?".. again, i demanded him to show me the gift.. and it's really a bangle wor... and right after that he said, "must wear hor..."

my first reaction, "dear, why gold colour one?" to which he replied, "oh, they don't have white gold plated, only gold plated one..." then 二话不说 kena scolding from me liao.. cos surely not cheap one... that aside first, he said this bangle got story one.. asked me to listen first and so i did... apparently this is not some ordinary bangle.. is from this 景泰蓝手工艺术... and this 景泰蓝, not only was 慈禧太后生前喜欢的 artifect, is also china's 国宝级's 手工艺. all of it's "products" are made from pure copper... for those who are interested can go to this 景泰蓝 webbie ...

ok, back to the part when he showed me the bangle, b4 the story telling thingy.. i asked dearie, "the bangle hor, 会不会很俗啊?" and he said, "can be 传家之宝 la..." then i exclaimed, "lydat you still want me to wear!!!"

anyway, i managed to persuade dearie take a pic of the bangle for me to let me post on blogger...

aiyo.. really the 俗 leh... how to wear??!!!

初三大闹 Lavender

hit home at 5am plus this morning... turned in around 6am... slept till like 1.30pm... cld have slept more.. but mum woke me up cos must eat lunchie le...

thot that our gathering @ uncle ma's place wld end latest at 3am, i was wrong... we played ban luck till ard 3.30am with boon being the banker... banker boon very strong wor... his cards 19, 20 and sometimes 21 leh!!! jw and me combined powers to become 蛇鼠一窝... at first won quite a bit.. 小老鼠 brina also very good wor... she was the 五龙 queen that nite... 五龙 until boon also scared... keke.. nearing to the 3am side.. jw says, now is the 公鸡's timing.. that's why boon kept winning.. keke... :P but in the end, everyone happy happy... and that's most important... :)

boon won quite abit.. so said he treat us mac bfast!!! and off we went to bras brasa's 24-hour mac for bfast... 9 big bfast meals and 2 sme meals... (i'm definately one of them who took the sme... the other is brina)... chat here, chat there... woah, almost 5am le... we parted there and our gathering was offically over...

wah.. from 5pm to 5am wor... keke... din know we so the 厉害 wor.. keke.. :P

feels grrreeat to wakie from a 11 hour sleep... thou in the morning kena woken up by a few times, but still feels great :)

maybe sleep too muchie le... abit the blur blur... so kinda forced myself go for a run downstairs... no suicidal attempts today... keke.. just the normal 3 rounds... but almost died too, cos the noon sun... very the hot ah!!! lucky half of the route is "sheltered"...

simple but yummy lunchie @ home... full full... now, abit the wanna sleep again.. keke...

红红的大年初二

sis's place was open for cny celebration today... whole afternoon was pretty quiet with just my family there... 大姐's family (pretty much obvious cos it's her house), 二姐's family, mum and me... 大姐 as usual, was busy feeding us with her collection of pineapple tarts.. "must try this, this one one pineapple tart is $0.75... must try that, this one i order from (blah blah)"... you know what i mean.. keke...

thot it wld be a pretty boring day... with nothing much to do... but cousin jeremy came with his 18 month yr old son... sooo the cutie!!! and he, obviously, became the center of attraction of the evening.. all the kids and the adults were all around him... and he had a new found love... the flight of stairs up to the bedrooms.. keke..

oh, forgot.. today i wore that ang gong gong dressie to sis's place... feeling darn bloody tired.. reached home at almost 4am this morning... kena woken up by the "ding dong ding dong" at 11.30pm... so, decided to go makeup-less today... i know, it's very unlike me.. haha.. :P

二姐夫 and 二姐 said that my dressie's abit short... ask me to wear leggings... i was like "har? i don't have and don't wear leggings one.." and so, just wear it lydat... keke.. :P

2 consecutive of late nites le... decided to go home to restie tonite.. tmr evening still got gathering at uncle ma's place... lucky tmr morning/afternoon don't have any place to visit... finally can 好好休息 le... no more "ding dong's" to wakie me le... :P

Happy Happy Chinese New Year!!!

first of all, b4 i start on my post, let me wish everyone a happy chinese new year!!! those on the gambling tables to win lotsa money, have lotsa fun and munch on the new year goodies without the extra kilos!! *laughs*

reached home at 5am this morning.. was at aaron's playing mahjong with uncle ma and jensen... 真得很久没有打麻将了... oh ya, if i'm not wrong, uncle ma was the big winner wor... 我这只小老鼠被大老鼠 uncle ma "咬了一口", 赢了我 $10... keke... 交学费 wor... keke.. :P thou never win, but still enjoyed myself neverthelessly...

thank god sis didn't come early in the morning to 拜年.. so i got to sleep till 12.30pm then wakie... hee..

later got to go 三舅's place to 拜年.. lucky it's near my house... and sherlaine just called me.. told me tonite dinner at cousin alvin's place.. aiyo... very the far leh... yio chu kang!!! go there surely is another 通宵 for me cos it's the usual 通宵 ban luck games... tmr morning 二姐 will be coming back to 跟妈咪拜年 then we'll head 大姐's place... her house open for new year tmr... tmr nite will be another cousin's place for 通宵 ban luck.. her place? pasir ris wor... not only that... think got 通宵 mahjong again somewhere wor... alamak, clash... how?

so many the activities... dunno how to plan... haven even see what's coming up for 初三 yet... aiyo... guess what? i just feel like.... *yawn* going back to bed... keke... :P

力不从心

was pretty determined this morning that i wld go for a run in the evening to burn off some fats before adding on from all the new year goodies munching... :P well, was pretty determined la... keke..

finished reunion lunch about 3.30pm... nicey nicey steamboat... 甜甜的汤 with all the goodies.. esp my fav beef and vege... yum yum... dunno why so tired wor.. took a nappie at 4 plus... sort of kena woken up at 5.30pm by a call from dawson..

after the call, look at the time, wah, going to 6pm le wor.. and i haven do my run wor... shld go wash face, change and head downstairs for the run le.. but... but... 力不从心 wor... still feeling so darn bloody sleepy and bloody headache!!! argh...

hmm... 新年嘛... shld be enjoying ma, not doing some exercise rite? hee.. so i think i have just the "perfect" excuse to not run today la... hor? keke... :P

Another Round The Clock

thot i cld knock off on time today... oh well... the whole day in office was just filled with scanning and compiling... :S

5 whooping volumes of design calculations!! each volume ranging from 40~50MB... compiled until i almost went crazy liao.. keke... went back concourse to invade other pple's pc after lunchie cos dunno why suddenly the network very the slow... and 时间不多了!!! die die have to submit today... lucky don't need to transfer from d-drive to j-drive.. if not tonite surely camp in concourse le... eh, 不对，shld be gmt hor... aiya, whatever la.. keke.. :P

got back to gmt, office only left 2 of us (ys and me), again... passed ys the files, and upload upload upload!!! all 5 files upload together... thou will be slower than doing it one by one, but he said no choice if not until tmr still haven finish uploading wor... aiyo, poor ys... still got gathering some more... only lucky thing is it's at the concourse korean restaurant... not far.. but still poor thing leh, cos later he wld have to go back to gmt to check on the uploading...

while waiting for the lift to go down, looked at the time... woah, 不知不觉 8.30pm le... another round the clock thingy... worked a whooping 12 hours!! and then i thot to myself.. 再多一圈, i'll be back at gmt again le wor... 真是一圈又一圈啊... keke...

一闪一闪亮晶晶

finally home, after a bath... phew.. ot till like 10.15pm then i left the office... ot doing what? ot doing scanning for submission lor... so many the calculations to scan... and the stupid printer is even stupider than the concourse printer-006 wor... grrr...

scanned from 5.30pm to 10pm still haven finished scanning everything yet... was editing the scanned documents in the adobe professional.. do until i see stars liao.. blurred vision.. and can just doze off any minute i closed my eyes just that tinnie winnie longer than what is supposed to be a blink... keke.. :P think 80% of the work done only.. tmr continue again... :S

ordered dinner up, ate while scanning.. left office, smsed ys to tell him i left office le and was on my way home... (he always want me to do that when i'm ot-ing alone in gmt... think he feels bad for leaving me there alone...) i texted "hi yaw shyan, i just left office and am on my way home.. see you tomorrow.." and his reply just sorta warmed my heart "ok.. see you.. thanks for your hard work.." looking on the bright side... my ot never 白费 wor... at least it's recognised.. and that put a smile on my face despite how tired i was feeling... :)

lucky don't have to wait very long for cabbie... think i was really tired.. short journey home also can fall asleep in the cabbie... *yawn* even now, after my bath, usually i will be 精神 again.. now? i'm yawning and yawning and... yawning...

Suicidal Makings

... of a jelly... *laughs*

i'm back from a suicidal attempt to run the 4th round today... "shld i do it? shld i try it" thots of this suicidal attempt kept running thru my head as i was running... dunno why, there's this "i think i can try" thingy came up to me as i hit the last leg of the 3rd round...

"just up that bloody slope, pass the fire hydrant and i know there's no turning back for me cos i've passed the entrance of the apartment already..." and in my freaking unconscious mind, i did run past that fire hydrant.

"i must be crazy... why the hell did i do that???!!!!" i was screaming in my head just 100m away from that fire hydrant... so bloody tired... face flushing and burning red (reminds me of the old pri and sec sch days where they always call me the tomato.. haha..).. perspiration dripping like an open tap... blurry visions.. wobbly legs threatening to give way any minute.. running speed equilvalent to that of a walking speed... i finally made it back, ALIVE!!! and also to add... made it back to become a jelly...

Blackless

no more blackie hair roots... keke... cos after this entry, i'll be on my way to the salon to go dye and highlight my hair... and oh, that means dunno how many hours of having the butt plastered to the chair... grrr....

not only that, the other blackless thingy is me! for those who know me well enuf will know that like 99% of my time i'm wearing black... either black dressie, or black top, or black bottom.. oh well, think you get the idea...

anyway, was thinking of what to wear just now... can't decide between 3/4's or skirt... but in the end chose 3/4 instead cos wear skirt go salon abit the 不方便... esp when go wash hair that time... normally go cut hair still ok.. but go dye and hightlight hair is like will wash dunno how many times lor... so... 3/4...

flipping thru the waredrobe... saw this non-blackie top hiding in the corner of the waredrobe... hmm... 真得很久没有穿这件了 wor... and so, out it came from the waredrobe and matched it with a pair of white 3/4's....

hmm... okie, just a shot b4 i finish up this entry and get ready to get out of the house... really love this pinky top... only "flaw" is that it makes me look abit the preggy.. haha...
