Sony-ly In Love

with their cameras and their laptops...

the camera: so the nice lor!!! so the tempted to buy cos she's equipped with anti-blur la... am pretty sick of taking blurred pics from my old konica minolta la... but, cannot spend any more leh... asked the price for this darling while at sim lim just now and it's $5xx leh... cannot, cannot spend money liao lah... :(

the laptops: (side track abit b4 i go on with the sony laptops..) went down sim lim with dearie just now with the intention of getting myself a desktop cos he'll be bringing my going-to-be-4-years-old-acer-lappie over to suzhou... the initial plan was that dearie's mummy wld get a new desktop while i sorta "inherit" his current pc.. but then dunno why she said don't want to buy le, and i sorta felt bad letting her and uncle use the super slow and lkk pc so had in mind to get a desktop for myself...

reached sim lim, see see look look... having a bloody headache was bad enuf... and seeing the crowd there just made it worst... oh well, to cut the long story short, ended up at this shop where this guy was calculating the cost for my new desktop... and it totalled up to $627 w/out the casing (cos i wanted to get my own casing.. their casing really is 难看死了)... hesitate.. hesitate... thot to myself... that samsung 19" lcd $331, plus the casing $100? wah... is one big hole in my pocket leh... and i told dearie, "还是不要买啦... 很贵 hor?" oh well, then he yaya-papaya liao lor.. said "see la, told you liao... you think very cheap hor... say until so confirm wana get new pc..." then i just hee.... keke... :P

headed to marina square for dinner after that... walked over to suntec and saw harvey norman having some computer sale there... and that was when i saw this baby.... she just melted my heart, right on the spot... and i just pulled dearie over and exclaimed "soooo nice!!!"...

so tempted, really tempted and also just told the sales person that i wanted a set le... selling at $1999... aaahhhh... i so want to have it!!! even dearie said it was nice... i told him i want.. he said "you siao ah... ask you spend $1000+ on desktop you so sim tia... now you tell me you wana spend $2000 on a laptop..." and i just gave him the 扁嘴 look... :(

sony is very cruel to me... keep tempting me... making me so sony-ly in love...

derrick asked me ytd what i wanted out of blogging... he said that he wanted his blog to be able to inspire pple.. to bring some sort of inspiration... as for me, what i wanted out of blogging? well, i never really thot about it wor.. it's more like blabbering whatever that comes into my mind, an outlet for my 喜怒哀乐...

there's nothing actually, what i want out of blogging... but there's one thing i really wish related to blogging thou... and that is to get back my old bloggie addie... but i know that is not quite possible... oh well...

Unpacked From KL, Packing For GMT

the moment has finally come... and no, that sentence ain't supposed to sound happy at all..

this whole gmt thingy is like a series of waves... first, there you were, on the beach, at the shallow ends of the sea... and suddenly this wave just hits you, and you get wet when you weren't intended to... this, was the time when the news of shifting over was brought up...

and then, everyone starts to talk about it... this is like the series of waves after that initial "shock".. the water's still cold, but somehow you got used to it after a few more hits...

what's next? this is the time where you decide that since you already got wet, you might as well immerse yourself in... just like blending in with your surroundings... afterall, it's the 习惯成自然 thingy isn't it? this, is the point where you're 麻木 and decided to accept whatever fate has to offer...

just as when you thought you're comfortable? or just as when you thot you really had accepted the fact? nope, you're wrong... there's this HUGE wave coming, and took you unnoticed... and you choke, cos you probably swallowed some water... this, is the part where they tell you your empty cartons for packing are ready for collection and you have to finish packing by next wed cos the movers will be here on thurs...

just as i thot i had accepted the fact that i have to shift over, just as i thot to myself it's not that a big deal that i'm seperated from my closest friends, just as i thot whatever it may be that i thot... it's not... the reality hurts... it just feels so ouchy...

i dunno why there are pple who's pretty happy about shifting, but i certainly am not... and yes, i'm awfully upset that the time has come, that this picture painted once so blurred is now so clear and i have to face it...

三喜临门

happy happy eveie today wor... 2 happy happy things to celebrate wor...

first... received a letter from the company wor... it's regarding my 13th month plus bonus... thou pro-rated, but better than nothing lor... not only that, got increment wor!!! hee... happy wor...

second... i passed my basic theory test wor!! dearie was so afraid i failed it... cos he said i too yaya-papaya le... keke... oh well, finally get this thing outta my head liao...

wanted to show a 苦瓜脸 to dearie, wana trick him say i failed... 哪里知道, he was behind at the door all the time, peeking at me do the test lor... just so happened i was seated where the touch screen monitor was facing him wor... aiya... my intended trick 失败 le... keke... was telling dearie, that guy sitting beside me was very 鬼鬼祟祟 lor... like trying to copy my answers lydat wor... grrr... oh well, but i'm too fast for him le... keke... given 50 mins to complete the test, i like took 15 mins??!!! keke... oh, mr-鬼鬼祟祟-trying-to-copy-my-answers, too bad for you le!!!... keke... :P

stepped out from ubi driving center, headed to the carpark and saw this view... nice wor... got my fav pinkie skies somemore wor...

and to celebrate for my "双喜临门", we went to bedok to have my fav curry fish head for dinner... yum yum... :)

after which dearie drove to east coast park and we had a nice long walk by the beach and ice cream... ...

and on our way back, while driving on sheares bridge, saw the ferris wheel litted up wor... so quickly took out the hp and snap!!

hmm... what about the 三喜??? it's dearie's results... after clicking on that stupid bloody slow jammed webbie for the past 1 hour, i finally got to view his results... very well done wor dear... so proud of you... :)

with that, his gpa is currently on the 1st class honours scale!! keep it up my dear.. am sure it'll stay there till you graduate with it... :)

Shopping Galore

aahh... just can't resist my fav four letter word when it comes to shopping... SALE... saw that fox was having a sale when in marina square last nite, but that outlet machiam kena raid lydat.. so the messy... and so decided to drop by the outlet at suntec (so much neater lor) to see see look look at what great deals they had to offer... i know, i know.. i'm not supposed to be swiping anymore bills to the credit card esp after the KL trip plus ytd's shopping... but... really irresistable lor... esp when fox have such nice short skirts... :P

with up to 40% discount and an additional 10% discount when you purchase more than 3 items, very the tempting wor.... keke... and i ended up swiping a total of $110.70... 2 shirts for dearie (as my last gift b4 he flies to suzhou) and 2 skirts for me... hee...

think i'm really siao liao... in just one week, i've gotten so many stuff lor... the shopping stuff from KL just over the wkends, the stuff bought ytd at marina square... and the stuff bought today... and hmm... let me see, that totals to 2 pairs of heels, 1 pair of sandals, 2 pairs of jeans, 1 bag, 2 blouses, 1 short jacket, 2 dresses, 2 pairs of jeans skirt and 1 pair of skirt...

oh dear, looking at what i've just typed... it's really alot wor... what's next? hmm... the credit card bill that's coming mid of next month... :P

I Thought

... that i shldn't be buying anything except my dnd dressie and stuff after i'm back with 2 pairs of heels, 1 pair of sandals, 2 pairs of jeans (yes, jeans... i'm insane enuf to buy jeans when i don't wear them), 1 blouse, 1 pair of jean skirt and 1 short jacket from KL... apparently that's what i thought lah... keke...

first things first... i've finally decided on the dnd dressie... settled for the simple black dressie from is...

as i was saying, i shldn't be buying anything after the trip from KL... and by saying that, it's pretty obvious that i've bought something... ok, not something but some things... (note the "s"... keke...)

and so i came home with a new bag from urs, a blouse and a dressie from little match girl... argh... temptations temptations... they always tempt you when you're not supposed to spend... like i always say, i can resist anything... anything except temptations... keke... :P

Back

woah... finally back! boy am i glad to be back in sg... and also home sweet home, comfort of my beloved bed, comfy sleeping t-shirt and shorts....

had taken quite a no. of pics... shall sort out and upload them pretty soon... i just only managed to unpack all my stuff and got seated down...

*yawn* updates will be up soon... definately not now... not after 4 hrs of sleep on fri, 7 gruelling hrs of journey to KL, 5 hrs of sleep each nite, hell lots of walking and 6 hrs journey back from KL... i am completely knocked out, with outbreaks (grrr), super panda eyes, sore ankle, painful feet, and really painful knees (yes, both of them, not just the weak-once-dislocated-one)...

and guess what? in 11 hours time, i'll be at sis's place for x'mas lunch!! gawd, the 3 kids... it's gonna be havoc lor... i am some superwoman... (trying to convince myself at the current moment) and i hope i genuinely am... tired...

i can barely open my eyes now... gtg sleep le... off i go on a journey of a thousand miles, yet reachable at the blink of an eye... my dreamland, my la-la land... keke... :P

woah, still too early to leave the hse yet... so, one last entry b4 i head off to KL!!! hee...

4 hours of sleep... i'm surprised that i actually heard the alarm... hopefully can get to sleep more in the coach later...

off i'm going to the meeting point where i go every wkdays... office direction.. haa... and i'm really dropping by office first wor... to collect that baggie... keke...

Cloudie With A Silver Lining

walkie to bugis from office was purr-fect... although drizzling, caught a really nice view of the sky... white full clouds, surrounded by the dark grey skies, and yet the sunlight still shone around the clouds... making it seem like this popular phrase, "every cloud has a silver lining"... keke...

but really a pity, no photos taken, cos my hands were too occupied in holding down my skirt which the wind kept try blowing it up... 老天 like 呼风又唤雨 wor... :P

just finished packing up for the KL trip tmr morning... now doing some last minute research on where to go, what to do, where to eat etc... let's hope this trip will be a really fruitful and fufilling one...

oh, almost forgotten... still got that theme park thingy... argh.. don't really like theme parks.. not a fan of roller coaster rides etc... don't like the person fall heart still up there feeling.. hmm... i think i will end up taking lotsa pix of brina, dearie, and yuling taking all these rides... keke...

shalln't reveal too much... if not come back dunno what to blog wor... keke... oh, sotong me forgot to bring that "compact travel bag" that mr gan gave me quite sometime back... tmr early morning while the rest go golden mile complex to collect the bus tix i shall fly back to office to take it... hmm... first time gg back to office on a sat wor... keke...

hope the trip is nice nice, hotel also nice nice... with nice nice room and nice nice lobby... hee.. :P

痛痛的 Holiday

painful holiday... literally... haha...

started off with me sewing back the buttons that had dropped from my pair of shorts quite some time back... had always been saying "i'll sew it back tmr" and not doing so... since dearie was using msn to chat with that agent in china regarding the accomodation thingy, this meant i was computerless... decided to pack the clothes for the KL trip, saw that pair of shorts and "oh, the buttons..."

sleepy me? clumpsy me? oh well.. dunno why so "lun zhun"... poked myself a few times while sewing those 2 pathetic buttons... and once so painful i went "OUCH!!!" and viola! the finger started bleeding...

and oh ya, the tupid mozzie bite still haven "healed" yet lor... still so the itchy... and the bite mark still there!!! painful and itchy.. grr... dunno is how many days liao lor...

ok, the one on the right is the bite from the mozzie... not the left... the one on the left is my scar i got from a "mini operation" a few years back... woah, thinking back just gives me the shivers and i can like once again feel the pain...

and now? i'm bothered with a throbbing headache since 6pm...argh... so the pain!!! pain until no mood to do anything, no appetite to eat anything... lie down also pain... haiz...

so lor... 不是痛痛的 holiday, then 是什么呢??

The Extreme: Quiet, Noisy

lunched in today... wasn't feeling too well on the tummy... what seemed to be like gastric... also feeling very tired and drained and no appetite from the OT ytd... so just da bao bee tai bah from the food court downstairs... office really quiet wor... somehow like slows the pace down, but also feel like times when i OT until no one in office wor.. keke..

reading "tuesdays with morrie" while eating... was taking my own sweet time to finish my food... cos also had this feeling that if i gobble up everything too fast, i wld end up in the toilet puking everything out again...

after lunchie, made myself a cup of 普尔... 好久没有喝普尔了... cos have been drinking my all time fav 铁观音 all this time... :P even the pantry also quiet... stood there, looked out and saw the playground/swimming pool over at the other side of concourse...

how nice if i was there, i thought... how nice it would be to be there, with perfect cooling breeze blowing, and just be there, standing, closing my eyes, enjoy the cool breeze... just like being at the "roof" of the esplanade or vivo city or suntec... but heard that the swimming pool/playground place only accessible to members wor.. that kind of 鬼地方 also got member access??... oh well... how nice if i get to go there once... sneak there? keke... how nice... and i stood there wondering, even if it's accessible to the public, i don't think i'll get a chance to go there... cos if i'm not wrong, the shopping side of concourse gg to demolish/renovate/whateva... not only that, 时间不多了... the time for me to go over to gmt is drawing near day by day... haiz...

ok, done with the quiet part... now to the noisy part... today was the day of the department gift exchange... and it was really noisy... filled with lotsa laughter and tidbits that andy bought... when i brought the prezzie to office ytd, i told wl he wouldn't use it if he were to 抽中 my prezzie cos i bought a chocolate fondue set and he say he don't eat chocolate wor... and suay enuf, he really got my prezzie wor... keke... then he still said, "haa, i got x'mas prezzie to give le..." i was like... nb... still say in front of me... haa...

alot of pple bought the same thing... we had like 3 (or is it 4?) sets of esprit towels... and ya, i was one of them who got it... from jesslyn... thermal mugs/flasks were pretty popular as well... (heh, i almost gotten a thermal mug from starbucks if i hadn't found the fondue set. keke..)

and so, next year's gift exchange will definately have these additional conditions to the gift exchange... 1) no towels... 2) no mugs...

the extremely quiet, and the extremely noisy... all happened in just one tired, bz and lonely day...

好累哦... OT till ard 2130... only comforting thing was that i din have to wait very long for the cabbie... stood there for less than 5 mins got cabbie le, not on call, not changing shift one somemore wor...

so tired... until no appetite again... but bo bian, have to eat... so just 翻翻冰箱 and ate whatever's available in there.. lucky for me got some food.. so don't have to say hello to miss maggi...

feeling guilty... leaving that pile of work just like that and headed home... like 不三不四 lydat... oh well... 明天将会是新的一天, 只希望不会往后退... no changes made...

*yawn* 真的好累哦... time for me to go dreamland le... have a gd nite rest and the sweetest dreams... Mmmm... :P

Poisonous Mozzie Attack

woke up this morning with 3 distinctive mozzie bites... one on the arm, one huge one on the thigh (almost the size of a ten cent coin liao), and one near the shoulder... very poisonous kind somemore... cos have been itching the whole day.. until now still very the itchy lor... grrr...

dunno how the stupid mozzie cld have gotten in cos i was wrapped in the blankie the whole of last nite...

Walkie Weekend

woah, what a tiring wkend... full of shopping... 走到脚要断了... keke... started off ytd after lunchie with mummy and to singtel to return the mio tv thingy...

pic taken somewhere near the singtel building at the somerset there... and while on the way back to the main roads of orchard, dearie and i saw this building that pple had deemed to be the "queen of orchard" (while orchard turn's the "king").. we were like "woah, 这么快就要建好了啊??" surprise surprise.. walked past it so many times but never seem to realise wor...

and off we went to taka... dearie said thirsty, wanted to get a drink.. passed by the gelato ice cream shop.. hmm... very the tempting leh... aiya, eat ice cream first... drinks later.. keke...

shopped whole day... from taka to wisma to far east to shaw (where i finally found the prezzie for the gift exchange... 总算没有白走 orchard...) then back to taka for dinner...

passed by this jap restaurant located at the b2 level... price seemed reasonable and so had decided that we shld have dinner there to try try the food... and that's why the back to taka from shaw...

2nd round shopping today... destination: city hall...

first went to raffles city... and bought donut for high tea!!! told dearie the other time that the donuts were really nice cos got to try them when yongheng bought it for his farewell rather than the usual curry puffs... really lucky us.. seeing that the queue was pretty short, we decided to queue for it... then when we looked back, woah... very the looong queue lor...

the double chocolate one is the best!!! apart from the white chocolate, still have dark chocolate filling inside lor... and it's the 咬一口, all the dark chocolate oozes out kind... so the yummy... 早知道 all buy the double chocolate one.. keke..

ok, now come to the main point of the shopping wkend... that's the dnd dressie hunting lor... tried on quite alot of dressies... this time not i don't want to take pics, but it's the hp low batt cannot take pics... so only managed to snap 2 of the dressies that i've tried...

wat a pity, there are some dressies that i've tried were not bad one lor... oh well... the type of dressie more or less "chosen" le... will definately be a short dressie, will also most prob be a tube dressie... although i would prefer one that shows the very nice back... keke...

all this walking, on heels somemore let me have really tired legs... like i said at the start of this entry, 走到脚要断了.. keke... and oh, small tinnie winnie injured toe cos i tripped over a tree branch while walking to shaw... so painful until i sort of shouted "pain!!" instead of my normal "ouch"... see see look look, nothing wrong, so continued shopping.. keke... only to realise after that my toe looked abit funny like got wound "结疤"... that stupid branched apparently "punctured" my toe, and caused it to bleed a little... oh well...

what a walkie weekend... and a tiring one too... but nevertheless fun... shopping, what more can i ask for? keke...

wanted to blog and post on my shopping trip ytd... am even prepared to go thru all the troublesome steps of bluetooth-ing the pics to dearie's hp then upload to the comp then upload to blogger, but 真可惜啊... hp low batt... and i never bring charger...

that's what ys said to me this afternoon b4 he left for meeting... he'll be away on a missionary trip to thailand for a whole week...

argh, the pile of work on my desk... not a pile actually.. just one thingy that ys believes can keep me bz for the whole of next week le... pray hard hard that there's no more ac comments, neither any requests for whatever submissions thingy...

the thot of it is tiring already... that thingy drained practically the whole of me today... to think that i'm gonna be stuck with it for the whole of next week... *rolls eyes*

but aahh... thank god there's always the nice, long walkie to city hall which i never fail to enjoy and treasure every single moment of it... just instantly removes all tiredness of the day and brings joy to the heart... :P

Temptations With Persistence

ys have been pretty persistent in trying to get me into the skit for the dnd... but i'm also persistent in turning it down.. keke...

and today, it became wl's turn!!! still tried to tempt me with "free dress" cos it'll be sponsored... *laughs* and so both of them was like 一唱一和 still trying to get me to act...

till i found out just now... 原来 wl is playing the princess... haha... no wonder he's sooo persistent in getting me to be the princess of the skit...

i must say it's a gd move/temptation... but, it still failed... keke... now that i know wl's playing princess, how can i "snatch" the role and glory from him? keke...

M1's Temptation Attempt

i realised m1 really love tempting me these few years... i used to be skipping from m1 to singtel and vice versa till last year they sent me a letter with a $100 discount if i purchased a 3g phone... and after contemplating for that few days, i gave in to temptation and got my current phone, the nokia 6280, which i fell head over heels with when i saw the orange one.. keke...

recently, i was pretty tempted by this samsung U700 phone... but had decided to strike that idea off cos i still have to top up $100 if i were to upgrade my plan cos my contract haven reach the 21st month yet.. not only that, i have too many want's la... must prioritise.. keke.. come to think of it... now hp to me is like, oh, make phone calls, sms and take photographs.. furthermore, friends using that samsung U700 are complaining about the phone more than they are complimenting it.. oh well..

and so, getting a new mobile is currently not in my list of "wants"... and.. m1 have to send me this "voucher" thingy saying that i can now upgrade my phone w/out having to fork out that $100 more!!! haha...

tempting it may seem to be... but cannot give in to it this time... cos got too many other stuff in the head already... argh, and the stupid dnd dressie and makeover thingy are some of them... dunno why, now the dnd thingy seems more like a chore to me to go rather than something which i look forward to... somehow or rather, have this "no point going" feeling leh.. oh well... 钱都给了... just go lor.. keke...

B'day Prezzie Shopping

met up with brina and jw to get prezzies for the dec b'day boys... aiyo... headache... dunno what to buy lor... walked, walked and walked.. still dunno what to buy... looked from belts to card holder to wallets to shirts... aiyo... still didn't manage to find anything...

but in the end we decided to be a little bit lazy and get the same prezzie for all... and as usual, let them fight among themselves on which package to choose from.. keke... finally, after cracking our heads and standing at some awkward crowded spot in the middle of bugis, we've decided on the prezzie... oh, it's pretty practical too... and so our motto was to settle it fast and enjoy a nice drink @ starbucks... keke... and so we did...

Ooo... so tempted to get ice latte @ starbucks.. but cannot... drink liao later cannot sleep... then lydat tmr sure very jialat... we spent quite a long time there chatting and everything... it was fun... so fun that we forgot the time and by the time we know it.. woah, 1030 le...

now the prezzie thingy settled... next thing to settle? the place to go on fri.... haiz... another headache... oh well... sleep first *yawn*, worry later.. keke...

rainy sunday... what a nice sunday to snuggle in bed to sleep sleep and sleep.. keke... but cannot wor... cos dearie and i realised that we have too much things not done yet... like, shopping for xmas prezzies, cut my hair, shop for the barang barang that's related to the dnd etc... so many things, so little time!!! so decided to drop by orchard for shopping in hoping to get at least 1 out of the many things done...

well, after a whole afternoon of shopping, i only managed to get dearie's x'mas prezzie.. and that's the "winter" jacket from zara... aiya, forgot to take pics... oh well...

apart from that, we were also on a dinner dress finding mission... from tangs to taka to paragon to heeren to centerpoint... from daniel yam to studio to chaos to mango to dunno what god forsaken brands... aiyo... walked until my legs wana break le... while on the way to dinner, i told dearie 走到我的 knee pain pain le... :( and nope, still went back empty handed...

actually tried on quite a few dressies thou... but it's either too costly, or too plain, or too gowny or too long... i guess you know la... i very tikee la... keke... but i did really like this 1st dress i tried at tangs thou... just that it's abit costly la... $159 lor... (oh ya, me and jann really twins wor... the other time she also saw and tried this dressie lor.. keke..)

there're also a few dressies from chaos that caught my attention... but the more "formal" looking one is too long, and the others with the nice back looks abit too casual... very undecided... perhaps, deep down inside, i really like that black dress la... and perhaps that's why that's the only one dress i bothered to take a pic of.. keke... oh well, just shop somemore lor... 船到桥头自然直... somewhere, somehow i will settle it... at the most just dig somewhere in the wardrobe and put on whatever i can find lor.. keke... :P

and oh yes, after saying for about 2 months that i needed a haircut... i finally got one... while having dinner at le meriden foodcourt, i asked dearie what we were gonna do after that... whether we shld continue shopping for the dressie at og or whether i shld go for a haircut... we both thought that a haircut wld be a better choice cos we're pretty convinced that we wldn't find anything nice at og anyway... keke...

although just a trim, but really cut alot lor... haha... cos there was alot of thinning to do... so much so for having so much hair.. keke... oh well.. at least it's neater now... and of cos, thinner too... so little hair left... keke...

The MacRitchie Walkie

woke up at 9am despite turning in so "early" this morning... my mummy lor... dunno early morning do what.. piak piak piak the sounds of her walking in and out of my room so early in the morning...

*yawn*.. tired wor... but dearie and i were "scheduled" to have lunchie cum shopping with sis...

met up with sis, had lunchie somewhere near thomson there and headed to united square for some xmas shopping... wah... 2 hours in united square... in one store only!!! and that's toys"r"us... *faint*... the 2 little darlings really take a very looong time to choose their xmas prezzies lor...

after that headed back to sis' place to rest cos we agreed to having dinner @ her place... watched the video that she took for her korea trip... got snow... so nice wor... i also wanna go!!! feeling abit worn out with the waking early and shopping, dearie and i decided that we shld stay while she sent the kids for swimming lessons... but after they left not long ago, i asked if dearie wanted to take a walk at macritchie cos it has been some time since we had taken a walk down that reservoir le... and off we went instead of taking a short nappie...

好久没有...

... 这么"早" 到家了... keke... just got back (oh, 0101 le..) from gathering with shilong, enlai and eliza (enlai's gal)... 好久没见面了... cos enlai's just back from melbourne for his hols... woah, thinking back, we know each other for 10 years le wor... and shilong for 8 years wor... time really flies... 10 years of my life have just passed wor... 时光飞逝... ...

we were supposed to meet 1830 @ bugis one... but division meeting ended abit later than i expected and i haven completed my detailing... i was thinking, oh no, i'm the nearest but the latest again... oh well, only managed to meet up with them ard 8pm... lucky that shilong was also delayed in camp... so, instead of meeting at bugis, he went to pick enlai and eliza up b4 coming to concourse to pick me...

went to fish n co. for dinner cos the two E's had cravings for that... dinner was deliciously wonderfully filling... with the portugese chilli crab, seafood platter, prawn fettuccine and swordfish collar... so full until i felt my stomach was almost bursting...

needed a place for a drink.... shilong and i thot of dempsey... i thot of dempsey cos i've never been there b4... and have heard pple saying that it's a nice place to chill out... and not only that, i rmb that anand's playing at one of the pubs there.... and so off we go to dempsey...

anand picked a bottle of wine for us... and it was pretty good... it's not too 涩... and so i was really enjoying the wine... glass after glass... yummy... keke...

dempsey and angel's share is definately one place i will go again... only 麻烦 thingy is... like mount faber, it's preferable to drive there... ...

The Good Old Days

had this sp alumni dinner held back in the old school which i haven step foot for a few years liao... right on the dot at 5.30pm today, i started to pack up and left the office even thou i still haven completed my work (oops~) cos it was scheduled to start at 6.30pm...

walked to bugis and managed to get on the train with a seat! lucky me... and there i was on the looong journey (ok la, not so long la... keke..) to dover... ... "ding dong... dover..." i got out of the train... hmm... dunno why, feels kinda weird... but as i stepped into the school premises, i began to feel excited... and all those 3 years of wonderful memories started to flood back... ...

although the school changed quite abit, but it was yet still familiar... while walking from the mrt station to the civil side, the familiarity of everything just led me to slow down my pace, and once again take a good quick look at the place which i spent 3 fun and unforgettable years studying... oh, and not forgetting to take the hp out and snap snap snap.. keke...

oh, b4 i end this post... let me blog about some (actually one only la... keke) office events... keke... today office gave out fruits again... again? yeap, just 2 days ago, everyone of us were given a banana (ytd's bfast) and an apple (today's bfast)...

then today suddenly give again... prune and orange... my prune came with a leaf!! haha... and so there i was, happily taking the hp to snap snap again...

A Different Gathering

you know how we always say that the person staying/working nearest a gathering place will almost always be the latest to arrive?? and i'm one of the "person"....

tonite's gathering was held at the army market... and among all the pple who were meeting there, i was the nearest... but i ended up being the latest in the group to arrive... i was like an hour late... oh well.. bo bian, today have to wrap a gift for the ac in return for their many xmas presents... 礼尚往来 mah... keke...

today's gathering was abit different than usual, not only is the group different, the size was also different... met up with the ntu mates that i haven seen since convocation... and it was nice catching up with them... stayed there till 10 plus and i'm like buay dong liao... keke.. as tonite's ntu mates were also sp students... instead of the normal "take care, shall catch up again" we were like "seeya tmr"... keke...

*yawns* really tired out le... even thou last nite was 一觉睡到天亮, but still tired... feeling so lethargic today... the rainy day sort of slowed everything down, the mind, the body... plus the intensity of the work and the ever piling work load... hope tonite will 一觉睡到天亮 too... sleep well... cos tmr's another looong day with unwrapping the other parts of my xmas gifts and the sp alumni dinner after that....

The Dilemma

sometimes we are really funny wor... cos we are at a constant dilemma... esp when it comes to the aspect of time...

during exams, we wld wish that the time cld practically stop so that there's always sufficient time to complete the paper... and yet in class, we wish that time cld just fly past so that we wldn't be stuck in the freezing lecture theatre, or trying so darn hard to stay awake from the ever oh so boring lectures...

during work, we wld wish that time cld slow down when there's so many deadlines to meet that day.. be it some tenders, some submissions, or whatever things that you have to give to the drafters etc... and yet when we're so darn hungry, with the stomach growling and lunchie is like 15 mins away, we wld wana wish that time cld just pass faster and reach the 12:30 mark quick cos it always seems that the time is crawling when you're "looking forward" to it...

does time really ticks faster/slower depending on what situation that you're in? murphy's law of chaos? haha... actually we all know that it ticks at the same speed... that one second per tick... it's just all in the head isn't it? *laughs* but funny that we will always say things like "i wish that time will fly, so that i can get off work." or "i wish that time will slow down, cos i still have so much things on hand to be completed by today."...

today's a pretty down day... no, not because i have yet to finish unwrappying all the presents that the ac had presented to me... something even worse than that... rumors (actually is pretty much cfmed liao) that the c&s building team will be shifting over the the golden mile "extension branch"... and that building team will be the orchard turn team... not sure about who are the others who'll be going over as well thou... don't really care, cos the pple who're soooo close to me are not in my department... haiz... so sad...

once over there, no more bumps in the toilet or the pantry or even on the way to the printer le... no more hearing the familiar footsteps and voices le... no more "gathering" at my place to flip flip newspaper or eat tidbits le.. no more khaki to enjoy my whole collection of teas esp 铁观音 as muchie as i do le.. and even no more khaki to brushie teeth with me after lunchie le... :(

seems so much like an isolation... ouch... suddenly feel so sad... and right now, i really wish that time can move slowly, or stop, if it can... cos the time to gg over is nearer day by day le... i know it'll still come eventually... but a big part in me, no, is every part of me just don't wish the day to come...

aahh... getting abit depressing le... hmm... think it's bedtime for me le... enjoy the cool weather, the cool breeze... be in my la-la dreamland and enjoy every moment of it... keke... :P

How Coincidental

to have the ipoddie play "半岛铁盒" twice on my way to work...

to have to wait for the lift twice at b1 this morning cos the 1st one was too crowded...

to have the clock in the monitor "striked" 1212 when i looked up to see if lunchie was near...

to have to wait for the lift twice (again) after lunchie...

to have the clock showing 1616 when i wanted to know how much time there was left for me to complete my detailing if i wanted to knock off early...

to recieve sms and missed calls at 1818...

to manage to get outta office by 1919...

to have the ipoddie play "星晴" twice on my way back...

to get home from dinner by 2020...

to be hoping to finish this entry by 2121...
(oh, and you know what? i created new post, and the time displayed was 09:09pm wor... keke)

to have a nice hot shower by 2222...

hmm... and perhaps turn in by 2323??? keke...

apart from the last few... it's really coincidental wor... keke... the repeatitive thingy... just like the repeatitive nature of my work...

Another Long Post... ??

it's really great to have dearie with no more exams... no more staying at home during the wkends!!! keke...

ytd had site visit... but b4 the site visit, dearie and i went to the mac at lucky plaza for bfast... dearie knows that it's been a really looong time since i had my fav sme bfast, and so brought me there b4 i met up with ys, james and chen at the orchard ctrl while he headed home to pack his room b4 meeting up with me later in the afternoon...

met jw at site... and he got me a vest and helmet cos the guard house didn't have enuf... ys got me a pair of boots, but they were soooo huge!!! that i cld stuff another leg inside lor.. keke... oh, james was such a sweetie... seeing that i was holding on to my shoes after i changed into the boots, he offered to let me put my shoes into his haversack... my shoes so the dirty... so the paiseh lor.. hee...

oh ya, dawson happened to call when i met up with jw at the entrance.. and he requested jw to take a pic of me in jeans... said he very long time never see me in jeans le... keke... and this pic below was gotten from jw's bloggie.. keke..

after site visit.. had lunch with the orchard turn team.. marc, ys, chen, james and i lunched at taka's sanur... yummy food they had there... ate so much even thou i was still full from the bfast at mac...

met dearie for shopping!! and happy happy me cos i was on retail therapy again!!! keke.. heels shopping galore!! have been shopping for heels for months to "代替" my current fav heels...

anyway, went to this place and came out with not one, but two pairs of heels!!! keke..

it's an irony lor... 've been searching for heels for months at charles and keith and ended up buying from u.r.s.. keke... i seldom buy heels from u.r.s cos usually their stuff are abit the pricey.. but apparently, uob seems to be indulging me alot lor... had an extra 10% discount on top of their 10% storewide sale... keke... ~~irresistable la.. heee...

this pair was a bargain, better than the 10% + 10% discount.. it was on 50% discount and so it cost me only $20!!!

hmm... am supposed to be ending my post le... but was chatting with dawson and jw just now telling them about my retail therapy... dawson exclaimed and said that i have alot of heels... i was like got meh? and counted them one by one.. keke...

hmm... 8 pairs of heels, with 2 covered flats, 1 running shoe, 4 slippers/sandals... alot meh? keke... ok la... i'm getting more in my upcoming KL trip lor... hee... oh well, all i can conclude is, a gal can never have too many shoes, bags and clothes... keke...

think this post super long le... perhaps will blog about the troublesome KL trip, or rather that tupid agency some other time then... wah... 1.5 hours on this post!!! keke...
