Almost

... bought another dressie... hee... as the title clearly states, it's almost...

for the first time, it's not black.. keke.. for those who know me well enuf will know that i have a wardrobe (2.5 actually, hee) full of black clothes...

bumped into jann while trying and she said, "很像你今天穿的那件 leh"... i was like "really meh?"... oh well.. i feel it's abit the expensive la... although there was a 10% discount on that piece, but dunno leh... $35.10 leh... furthermore, dearie says i've been on a dressie shopping spree lately... buy too many dressies within too short a time liao.. keke...

dearie says wait and see whether after a few weeks got more discount anot.. anyway, the dressie won't run away.. if suay suay sold out (touch wood), then i'm not fated to have that dressie lor.. or if very persistent still no discount, but 忍不住 liao, then buy lor... keke...

and oh yah.... almost forgot... i also almost bought a handbag from charles and keith... there's a storewide 15% discount if charged to the uob credit card... tempting leh.... but, 还是狠下心走出了那间店... ... ... keke... oh well...

dunno why, this "灵感" came into my thots this morning when i was doing my work... so i wrote it down...

started with this:

dearie wanted to call me just now... but ended up calling the police station... keke.. this was becos of the 迟钝-ness of the living room's phone...

dearie pressed 9... eh? no tone leh... so he thot the phone never registered the 9 that he pressed... so he pressed 9 again... eh? bo leh... then when he pressed the 9 for the 3rd time, ah... got liao.. so happily continue pressing the rest of the 7 nos of my mobile...

ended up... called the police station lor... keke...

Smashy Saturday

had lunchie with sis ytd... finally get to have lunch with her cos chris just finished her exams... picked her up and we went to bras basah's 天津馆 for lunch...

although it was like going back to office on a saturday cos it's pretty near office, but the food there is yummy lor.. esp the 炸酱面 and the 锅贴... yummy yummy... ordered so much and of cos ending up eating so much too... keke...

i paid for lunch since i din get sis any b'day present... after lunchie was the normal "routine" of dropping by the children's bookshop followed by popular... stayed so long at the popular until i wanna sleep liao... keke... after all the assessment book shopping (kids nowadays so poor thing hor? exams just over only buy assessment books for next year liao), we went to bugis there (dunno what street) for dessert.. famous dessert store called 记得吃... wanted to eat my fav 核桃糊 but dearie said 热气 so in the end i settled for 龟岭膏 instead... also my fav... keke..

after all these... by the time we reached sis's place again.. i was totally smashed liao... feeling so sleepy lor!!! but still have to give chris piano 'lessons'.... while practising with her, there were a few times i almost fell off the chair cos i dozed off at that moment...

really buay dong liao.. after sending the gals for their swimming lessons, dearie and i headed home (turned down sis's offer of dinner @ her place cos i really buay dong liao).. even thou 6.30pm liao.. don't care la.. sleep... keke...

and so very late dinner... slept late too... 3am... and also woke up late this morning... 11am.. keke... oh well...

Round And Round

... the merry go round... that's was what my pri sch classmates and i go to everyday after school without fail... turning and spinning as fast as we could, with the fun and the laughter... after that feeling so darn bloody giddy... haa... so those were they days...

... dearie lifts me off my feet and starts to turn me round and round... put me down and i'm literally down... on the ground, unable to stand at all... keke...

The Transitions Of The Sun

had decided to go for run after work just now since i managed to knock off on time... keke.. i know i know.. evelyn? run? haha... but hey, i've been running.. not consistently, but still running from time to time...

it's really been months since i last went for a run.. and you know what? i'm glad i did... not only did i manage to burn some calories, i saw a beautiful sight. hmm.. actually not one, but a few... the transitions of the sun... and i din know that here, just outside my hse, there is such a beautiful potrait painted, and i just walk past everyday without realising how beautiful it can be...

when i started the run.. the sky was a full orange with the setting sun... and the empty field with that few trees... and at that point, i hated myself why i din have my hp with me to let me snap it down... :(

as i continued my run... the setting sun potrayed another view... this time, turning the clouds to be blood orange in colour...

looks kinda disgusting like that, but hey, on the sky... woah.. it's a rare sight... and 是美的 lor... keke..

throughout the run (3 rounds!!! hee.. me so proud of me-self.. keke..), it seemed to potray a theme of orange.. with several transitions due to the setting of the sun... from the bright orange of the "afternoon", to the blood orange, and lastly to the orange fading away, almost being empowered by the purplish blue sky, to the dark skies with the orange street lamps... ... ...

although it's a pity that i didn't manage to capture the views during my run... but i'm still happy... that i at least got to see it... it's really a beautiful sight.. and seeing such beautiful sights lifts my spirits high and somehow, i've forgotten how tiring work can be, how tiring the run can be... ... ...

Travelling Down Memory Lane

dearie and i decided to take a walk after dinner... and off we went to chinatown... as we walked down the streets, past the stalls i told dearie, "我们很久没有来这里了hor??" and he agreed... really 很久了...

during poly days, whenever we came back my place for dinner, we wld always take a walk either down to people's park or chinatown... window shop abit... 吹吹冷气 abit.. keke.. hmm... travelling down the memory lane... ... ...

sometimes, it's like we take things for granted eh? like pple bother to travel all the way down to chinatown to get the 新年气氛, i don't even bother to wana step in at all.. it's like, aiya, so near, anytime also can go.. don't need to wait till chinese new year's eve to 挤来挤去... and get yourself sweaty and dirty with the "exchange of pespirations".. ok, i know this sounds disgusting.. keke.. ok lah, sometimes 心血来潮 i do bother to go squeeze squeeze and see what last minute lobangs i can get for the chinese new year.. keke..

and since we were there, dearie wouldn't give the ah-balling a miss.. he's been wanting to eat that for months le.. finally today he is satisfied... =)

i'm not a big fan of the peanut soup, unlike dearie.. cos i find it too sweet... and so i only ate the ah-balling.. dearie ordered 6, i ate one peanut and one black sesame one...

despite feeling so darn bloody full after the bk dinner and that ah-balling, but foodie eveie craves for fishball soup!!! but the fishball noodle store never open lor... grrr...

now that leaves a satisfied bf with a dissatisfied gf... i want to eat fishball!!! drink fishball soup la.... :(

The Tint Of White

very the sian... it just have to rain this morning... monday morning some more leh.. made me so dowana wake up and continue to snuggle in bed with dearie... hee.. oh well.. bo bian, have to work.. so dragged my lazy self up to bathe (brrr... cold...) and get ready for work...

oh well, to look on the bright side, at least it started raining b4 i got out of the hse.. if not i would have wore my fav pair of heels and let it get soaked in the rain... already wana spoil liao lor.. cos like 80% of the time i wear it, it rains... haiz... and so i wore a pair (i like all my heels, but bo bian, some just have to 牺牲 lah.. keke) that's pretty old liao...

so, was walking from bugis to work and saw this view... hmm... looks pretty "unique".. and so, stopped and snapped it down...

after taking that pic, the rain got heavier.. it was as if the sky was telling me, "hey, you must be thinking that the rain's not heavy enuf that you can bother to stop and take photographs hor... i shall pour more and see how you get to office..." kaoz.. really heavy lor...

but nevertheless, i was still early for work... (even after buying my papaya from the foodcourt downstairs). for the first time, i reached office b4 the main door opened!!! recept was still dark dark one... i was like "woah, i got so early meh?" and indeed i was.. haa... funny leh.. usually rainy days things are slower one leh.. like the train moves slower, we walk slower etc...

oh well... as the old saying goes 早睡早起... i'm 早到早走... keke.. 早走 not in the literal sense, but i knocked off on time today!!! which is kinda rare... keke...

Vulnerably Vulnerable Me

this is what i penned down @ 9.44 this morning on my note book as if it were blogger...

[have you any one time feel ever so minute and small, as if the whole world can just swallow you up? that's what i'm feeling right now... so small, minute and insignificant that's causing me to be angry and vexed at myself... and i hate it.. dislike it... feel like screaming my head off, feel like just running away.. i need some sort of an outlet... but... where is it??? ]

today's not a really gd day for me... cos feeling insignificantly small and minute made me very pek chek... morale was low, mood was low, work efficiency level also low... just felt so sian... just wanted to get off work quick... but yet i have loads of work to do...

initally wanted to ot today one.. but really have no energy to stay on... so left for home le... on the way to bugis it started to drizzle... but when i reached outram it was pouring... initially still want to da bao dinner one... in the end, see the rain so heavy, decided to go home cook instant noodles instead...

under the brelly, with both hands holding tightly to it, walking that slope back home, under that heavy pouring rain, i felt minute, small and insignificant once again... furthermore, the flickering lightning-threatening-to-do-that-lightning-thunder-combo-thingy made it even worse... i felt so... so... so vulnerable...

i don't like this me... oh well.. tmr will be a better day... it definately will.. and meanwhile, being a gal... i am "privileged" to conveniently put all the blame to miss pms... keke...

I've Finally Booked It

after months of nagging from dearie, i've finally found a slot after work and booked the bloody basic theory test... wanted to get one scheduled on a sat but don't have leh... so, mine's scheduled on the 27 dec 07, thurs, 1845-1935... i know i know.. dec is still far away eh? that's the earliest date i can get lor.. the rest are FULL... kaox.. din noe there are so many pple wanting to learn driving...

oh well.. get the basic theory thingy done first... have to b4 the dunno what expires then i will have to spend dunno how much to "renew the membership" so that i can book a date for the test...

1st step: booking done...

took a powerful 3 hour nap after catching the 3 hr csi marathon on axn... as i told dearie after lunchie just now, "hmm.. after watching csi supreme sunday will be my nappy time..." which he replied, "yalor, you standard sunday procedure..." hee...

but i din expect to nap for 3 hours lor.. usually it's just 2... and now i'm very the 精神...

to make matters worse... mummy just gave me a cup of 高丽参 to drink... liao... this drink is super power one lor... is for 提神 one... and i'm currently still left with half a cup....

had lunchie with mummy, 2nd sis' family and dearie at fish & co. (suntec outlet) ytd... and i paid for it!! hee.. bro-in-law and eldest sis have been the one paying all these years.. and i guess it's time to play my part too... and that's what led me to paying for lunchie ytd... hee...

after lunchie, dearie and i window shopped at suntec (again) and marina square... never bought anything... just see see look look.. never even dare to try on clothes.. cos i know try liao will end up tempting myself if it looks nice... so no try means no temptation.. heee.. and dearie say i 乖 wor... keke... must 忍... next month will come fast!!! hee...

"lunchie appointment"... i hate (ok, hate is too strong a word.. dislike) last minute stuff..

mummy just "screamed" into my room telling me to wake up (cos she thot i was still sleeping.. hee) and get ready... i was like, "get ready for what??"

mummy: we're having lunch with gor-gor (which meant my 2nd bro-in-law and family)

me: ... ... (why last nite never tell me...) what time??

mummy: 11 something..

oh shit. i better zoooom off now.. still got dearie in bed who's still lazing whom i have to shooo shooo into the bathroom after me... keke... hee...

Inspired

... by lobbie mummy the way he organises his songs... with all the nice album arts and everything.. and since my lappie is filled with most of the songs (nicely organised), i'll be organising some 3gb (?? or even more..) of my own songs to be nicely organised as well.. and so the tedious process starts...

not only that, they way he organises his photographs.. was telling him about the mess of songs and the photographs i have in the lappie... all dumped in a "new folder", no time to rename this, organise that etc... then he told me of whatever photographs he took, he'll also create a powerpoint... got description and everything... sounds very nice wor... also like a photo album...

inspired as i can be... i've only started on the organising of songs.. dunno when i can finish also... hope i can get it done soon... and so i can start on the powerpoint thingy...

haa.. like what dolly in under one roof always say, "soooo exciting!!!" keke.. okok, i'm being lame again... hee.. and perhaps just revealed what era i'm in... hee...

was window shopping @ suntec with dearie just now... passed by this cart booth thingy selling those 3-d wood "jigsaw" thingy...

and so i pointed to dearie at one of the models and said, "hmm, that one very nice.." to which he replied "oh, the wood thingy"...

i was like "ya, mu-saw..."

dearie said, in surprise, "really? that's called mu-saw?"

me: "ya, you mean you dunno meh?"

dearie: "dunno leh..."

me: "ya, this is called mu(木)-saw... those made of paper, is called zhi(纸)-saw..."
*roars into laughter after trying so hard not to laugh*

Baby's Clothes From My Baby

dearie bought me the silicon cover for the ipod when we were shopping @ bugis street just now... pinky colour!!! with the black behind the pink colour, it brings down the too girly feeling.. but at the same time, the pink in front of the black brings some girly touch to it... aiya.. confusing.. keke... (and oh ya, girly --> me??? something must be wrong.. i'm tomboy la... keke)

not only that, dearie bought me a dress from little match girl... cos i gave him the 可怜-the-dress-so-nice-on-me-look... hee...

well, i bought him something in return... and that was a pair of everlast shoes from converse... hee...

now i have a happy baby 1, with new clothes and a happy baby 2, with new shoes... and of cos, a happy me, with a new dress... =)

Of The Walk To Bugis

was on the way to bugis to meet dearie... and while i was waiting for the traffic lights to change i saw this view with the sun shining so brightly into my eyes...

It's ANOTHER Calling

aiya.... don't need to call here call there liao... cos i've already picked up the phone...

what's the deciding factor?? that's dearie letting me drop by epi center to gian the ipod.. as well the uob indulges you board standing outside epi center... 10% discount!!! all the callings, the dilemmas, i finally gave in to my temptation... so much so for uob indulging a 10% discount, it led me to an indulge of $385.20... keke...

dearie finally can get his ears spared from the "do you think i shld buy the ipod?" whenever we're near epi center... keke... now charging my new love (no worries dear, you're still no. 1... hee.. so i'm only putting a few songs in the ipod tonite for tmr's journey to work and will put the rest of my songs some other time...) Oooo... so excited!!! hee...

huge amount for temptation retail therapy... and that means goodbye new dresses and heels for the next 2 months... i must 忍，忍，忍.... 2 months will fly pass!!!

Enhancing The Lobbie Me With Lobbie-Wanna-Bees

had a fabulous day ytd @ sentosa with dearie, dawson, weirong, brina, yuling, derrick, jw and guan kiat... loved the fun, the sun, the food... in fact, loved every moment of it...

we met up @ 10am harbourfront mac for breakfast after a week's "fight" with dawson cos he wanted breakfast @ coffee bean while i wanted it @ mac... (oh yah, gerald, why you last minute say never come!!!) he surrended when i suggested to brina to go the hawker center opp harbourfront cos maybe lydat can "please" everyone with the "spoilt for choices" over at the hawker... keke..

we took the mono-rail dunno what tram from vivocity over the sentosa. 1st stop was the luge...

and we came across this cutie called dave.... not only he's not shy to play with jw and me, he even posed when he realised i was going to take a picture of him...

after bidding gdbye to the cutie, off we went to take the skyride...

we took the luge ride twice!!! was fun... but abit the ex la.. but for those with the sentosa islander card, then it's still ok.. oh well, never play b4 mah, 难得 gathering somemore wor... spend abit of money is ok de la.. keke...

after the rides, off we went to the beach... lovely weather with too hot a sun... keke..

initially was playing volleyball on the beach one, but hor, the sand too bloody hot... so we improvised and play "volleyball" in the sea.. more cooling mah.. keke.. lucky wr brought 2 inflatable balls...

i know i know... how come dawson's on the gal's team... keke.. we make do la, not enuf gals in our group.. and he said "i also gal, i got "A" cup..." and this is how he ended up on the gals team.. keke..

even thou we were in the cooling waters, but it was tiring.. in fact i think more tiring if we were to play it on land... cos running in water ain't that easy... and oh, i did a great dive!!! something i wld never do if i were playing volleyball on land.. keke...

after all the games, we were all hungry liao... thotful wr actually prepared sandwiches lor... (aiyo, next time want to prepare food can tell us mah.. we can help out also... thanx for the effort..)
