I just knew it

i shldn't have came to skul. shldn't even have studied for the bloody quiz. what's the point when you know it's not gonna help you at all??

2 out of 3 quizzes... i shld have been happy with my last 2 quizzes and just ignore this quiz. grrrrrrrrrrr!!!! which part of my brain is wrong enuf to think that i cld score better than the last 2 quizzes? i'm crazy.

40 bloody short mins to finish 3 parts and the steel must be NOT YIELD somemore lor! oh, god help me.

Overated Chicago' Steakhouse

thinking that xiaxue would actually recommend good food, dearie and i went to try out the the chicago's steakhouse at cineleisure for their $9.90 sirloin steak.

as the $9.90 one was only 7 ounce, dearie ordered the 9 ounce one (it costs $13.90). when it came, both of us were kinda disappointed. the steak was small lor. and the taste...... ok only lor. not that it's not nice. but just overated that's all.

we ordered a 9 ounce sirloin steak and this spring chicken which wasn't that nice either. ok lah. i won't blame xiaxue for that chicken cos she didn't recommend it. but overall we were disappointed. having to pay $30 over dollars that couldn't satisfy us, not to say fill dearie's tummy.

since dearie recently had been "influenced" by me to be in love with chocolates and beef and steak and etc... apparently that overated dinner was not able to satify our cravings. and so ytd we went over to toa payoh central there to eat steak again.

we ordered sirloin steak and black pepper steak. and i tell you it's marvellous. and you know what? it only cost us a total of $14.50. the steak was big (for that price that you are paying and it's definately bigger than that of the chicago's steakhouse one) and they provide you with fries and bread lor. that bloody restaurant don't even have anything, just the main course (pathetic small steak with some carrots and beans and a pathetic potato with just sour cream; oh, i think i can do better than that). unless you want to pay another $2 something for the set meal lah.

although we were both perspiring really badly by the time we finished our meals, but who cares? we were both satisfied. really satisfied with the meal. for those of you who wana try it, it's the coffeeshop located opposite courts. try it. you'll probably love it.

This movie sucks

dearie and i rented the movie last night thinking that it was a gd film that we'd missed from the cinema. and it turned out to be a total disaster!

after the show, we had to actually search yahoo to read on wat the story was about. lousy + lousy + lousy!!!

I seriously think i need a BREAK!

i kept telling myself that i need a break, but on the other hand, i kept telling myself i couldn't. cos i just had too much stuff to do. the quizzes, the neverending work, my fyp etc.

i was in such a dilema.

TILL TODAY

last nite i dreamt of the most bizzare thing. i woke up feeling so surprised. and it was thru this dream that i realised i really need a breather.

this how the dream went:
was studying for my management quiz then suddenly was in expo IT fair selling laptops. most of the pple were there. pple like brina, yuling, dearie as well as the pple in charge like cromer and lai xiang. it was the same corner that we had for the comex fair 2006 where i was selling hp laptops. but the other side of the booth was outside, like some garden or some sort.

it rained, but somehow all part-timers like me were standing in the rain still giving out pamphlets. i even recalled that there was this difficult customer who kept asking questions that i didn't know how to answer that i had to ask lai xiang to help me.

then it was break time. i actually told brina that we were crazy. asked how come so fast the there was another IT fair. i even said that we were so gonna be dead for our management quiz the following day. i recalled saying something like, "IT fair surely end very late one, then by the time we get home surely very tired. tmr's management quiz sure die, not enuf time to finish studying."

told brina, dawson and yuling about my dream during lunch. although each had their own laughs, they said that i'm really stressed up. (am i stressing myself up? am i am i???)

i seriously think i need a BREAK! a breather. anything, just no work, no lecture notes, no txt books. i need a nice wkend.

Late Dinner Last Nite @ Botak Jones

i got to know about this place (botak jones)when i was watching the HDB 太太 on channel 8 just a few days ago.

and so i told dearie about it and asked whether he wanted to try since the car was available last nite. cos the place is at ang mo kio mah. now they have 3 outlets! the other 2 @ tuas and clementi.

wah, when we reached there, long queue leh. queued for about 15 mins b4 taking order lor. then they told us that the wait was 1 hour lor!!! wait until i almost fainted. but the food is really good lah. oh, and their menu is cute. although it's just a few pieces of paper stapled together, i personally like the way the owner created the menu with some of the crappy jokes in there.

中秋 Dinner

haha. must be thinking that dearie and i had a chinese based dinner? nope! in fact, i was the totally opposite! we had dinner @ tanglin mall spageddies.

being there again let me remembered that the last time i was there just 2 months ago, i still had straight hair.

the above photo was the only food that i rmbed to take. shall remind myself to take pix of the main course the next time i'm there. too hungry liao lah. hehe...

the food there is fan-ta-bu-lous!!! there are so many things that i love there. food like their chicken salad, carbonara spaghetti, crayfish and tenderloin combo, seafood sizzlini and there are just so much more!!!

and another reason why dearie and i love it so much. there's a uob one-for-one main course on mon - thurs and fri before 3pm. if no one-for-one? there's a 15% discount for uob cards. i just simply lurve my uob debit card.

and now i'm back to tutorials, quizzes and projects.

somehow, sometime, i just wish that next july will come in the blink of the eye. then i'll not have to face skul again. not for a period of time that is.
