Bugger off

as i was on my way to the usually crowded 179 berth of the interchange, this man approached me with the "excuse me excuse me". and so i turned and removed one of my ear piece and "attended" to him. now how i wish i hadn't heard him excus-ing me.

so this uncle came to me and asked if i was a model. what? me? a model? you've got to be kidding!!! but anyway, he said that he saw me board the train and felt that my way of walking was a natural. said that i cld be a model or dunno what shite lah.

and so this uncle continued talking to me and i wasn't sort of paying attention cos i still had the other ear piece stuck in my other ear. and then dunno why, he asked whether i cld speak in chinese. then i gave him the "duh" look and said yeah, and he was kinda surprised. he thot that i was a eurasian!!! hello! although i have dyed hair does not make me a eurasian ok? which part of me doesn't look asian to you?!! *bah*

and he went on talking about the different kinds of modelling. one is the catwalk kind, the other, the photography kind. then he said that although i'm short but now models wear 3 inch heels. upon hearing that i was like, i know i short lah. but that's not a way to bloody insult me lor.

after blabbering all sorts of shite, he finally got to the point and asked if i was interested. but b4 i cld say anything, he asked if i had the time for him to tell me more about modelling. of cos i say no lah. think i stupid meh? it sounds more like a scam to me lor. he doesn't even know where or what is NTU, where or what is the IT fair cos he claimed to be an indonesian. he even asked if i cld make it on sat to drop by the studio at parkmall. (and so you know that bloody kinda ulu parkmall and not ntu nor expo. well done) and so he wanted my number but i declined and asked for his name card instead.

guess what he told me? he said he did not have his name card with him? which bloody model scout don't bring name card one???!!! and then he continued blabbering again then asked for my number again. think i stupid or are you stupid? i declined the 1st time rite? what makes you think i will give it to you on the 2nd time? duh... since the uncle did not have a name card, being so nice, i asked for his number saying that i wld give him a call if i was interested.

dunno what lah. then he asked me to wait for him cos his friend was waiting for him and said that he wld come back to look for me. as he walked off, my wonderful 179 arrived and i boarded the bus without even turning to see if he had returned.

siao lah.... i just think he's desperate and psychotic. *bah*

Rewind, Play, Fast Forward

caught this show with dearie last mon. we had gotten the $2 off voucher from our last movie "nacho libre".

critics did not give a really gd grade for this show, but i loved it. dunno why, i don't really care about what critics say anymore. it's still, in the end, someone's point of view.

just love adam sandler, as much as i love owen wilson and *blah blah blah*

can't wait for another gd show... but it's gonna be a 'lil difficult cos work's piling like shite. *sigh*

Swim + Tanning Oil = Chao Ta

swam with brina and yuling yesterday @ nie... hmm, am beginning to like swimming in skul cos i'm swimming tmr again! but this time with dawson and dearie!

actually dearie cannot join me one, but tmr is union day so there's no class from 1030-1430 and so there he will be, joining us for a swim...

am really proud of my swimming progress. did 22 laps ytd. hmm maybe tmr i'll do 25?? see how lah. hehe.

irony irony, while brina and yuling were busy sun blocking themselves, i was busy applying tanning oil to myself! haha. cos i wana get a great and nice tan. we even stopped half time to apply more stuff (brina and yuling applying the block and me the tan) but dunno why the sun seems to prefer my back to my front cos my back is relatively chao ta as compared to the front. *sigh* wat a disappointment.

nvm, shall continue to apply tanning oil till i get the tan i want!

Heritage Walk

finally in my final year, here i am, joining all the activities that i've never joined all these years. and thurs was the day to join the heritage walk organised specially (usually) for the freshies to know more about the skul.

darling brina showed interest first and started psychoing me to join the walk. after looking at the poster, i decided to join! cos the prizes were really attracting! but in the end we din win anything lah. we did get a goodie bag, which was a shoe bag with a bottle of new water, a pen and a towel in it. as well as a 1L NTU water bottle. we got this cos we were the 1st 50 teams to reach the src.

烤焦麵包

got this from darling wen's blog found this interesting and decided to copy from her. enjoy =)

烤焦麵包原本是一塊用日本頂級的紅豆餡料，一天只發售20個的紅豆麵包，可惜的是，當烤焦麵包正興高采烈地期望出爐的那一刻，竟不幸掉進火爐，等到被發現時，名貴的身軀早已被燒焦，且發出陣陣臭味，當然，受盡折磨的他不甘心就此被人拋棄，於是決定逃這間麵包店。從此烤焦麵包性情大變，變得木無表情，意志消沈。離開麵包店後，麵包仔仍然遭到其他麵包對他投以異樣眼光，讓他覺得自己不受別人的喜愛，他感受到人情的冷暖，於是開始自暴自棄，抽煙酗酒，終日無所事事。一旦遇到新鮮麵包，他會對他們說教、發牢騷，那些單純的新鮮麵包很容易被他嚇怕呢!!不過，他也有發奮的時候，有時他會看看那本"怎樣成為好吃的麵包"的書。

The Elvis Miracle

this is what i heard from class 95 this morning when i was on my way to skul...

elvis was a spiritual man. how spiritual? you'll know at the end of this story.

there was this year that elvis had his concert. b4 the concert began, one of his backup singers went for a health checkup. but she did not wait to collect the results as she wanted to rush back for the final rehearsal.

just b4 the concert began, there was a call for her. it was regarding the health results. the person over the phone told her that she had contacted stomach cancer. she was upset. everyone (excluding elvis) knew about it and was upset too. and the concert went on.

after the concert, elvis sensed something was wrong and decided to ask his backup singers about what's troubling them. when they told him about the matter, he gathered the group to pray. he prayed, asking the lord to remove the cancer.

the next day, when this backup singer went back to check up again, the doctor diagnosed that the cancer was gone.

what a miracle... the elvis miracle... the spiritual elvis miracle...

p.s oh yeah, did you know that today's elvis' death anniversary?

Our First

haa. after blogging on our (dearie and mine) first, now it's our (yuling, brina and me) first!

and that's swimming in ntu... as adviced, we swam at the nie pool (with dawson)instead of the 50m pool at ntu and it's good.

and i'm pretty proud of myself cos i managed to swim 20 laps! that's 1km!!! hehe...

Our First

this product was launched in sg 4 years ago. it was a hit! but we (dearie and i) did not dare to try. perhaps it was due to the overwhelming milkish smell of the product that stopped us from trying it. not only that, to pay $2 for something that we did not know whether we would like was also another factor.

till one day when i was out with darling brina that she told me that it was nice, and that i'll most probably like it. but dunno why, dearie and i never got about trying it....

not till today... after dinner @ taka foodcourt, we walked past the store and was attracted by their BIG notice. this week was their 4th anniversary and it was selling at $1.20. 40% discount. wahahahaha... abit cheap thrill..

so we've finally decided to buy one and try it. after the 1st bite... Oooo!!!! it's so goooooood!! we ended up buying 5 more home to share with the family. I'm now so in loooooooooove with it. oh man, i have another temptation to resist when i'm out shopping at taka and bugis... oh......

Swim Swim Swim

since ntu's "policy" is 1st week no tutorials, no lab, this led to me having no class today!

and since dearie had lessons (congratulations dearie for finally steppping into your long awaited studying world), i suggested to yuling and brina to go swimming with me.

and so we met up at delta swimming complex at 0930. wah, almost wanted to die. wake up so early just to swim.. *faintx* 天有点不做美, cos clouds were full as if telling me there were gonna cry at any time. *sigh*

the worst thing was when i stepped out of the hse on my way to the mrt. i felt droplets of rain and i was like oh no... so called darling brina and asked her how. since she said suspect that yuling had left the hse already, we decided to just whack and go lor.

but lucky for us that it didn't rain. and i managed to do 16 laps! that's like 800m of swim? hmm. so proud of myself. haha. although both the gals didn't swim as much, but i think they had swam quite gd too (cos they don't swim much).

after that was lunch at tiong bahru. the newly renovated market/hawker looks nice.

gd workout... and guess what? we're gonna swim on thurs again! this time in ntu!!!
