dearie and i decided to spend his b'day in the zoo as we haven been there for quite some time aredi.
started to drizzle when we reached there. after walking for a while, it started to pour. we seeked refuge in this shelter where there were holes leaking in the "roof". so we had to actually hold the umbrella in the shelter...
saw a lot of animals, took a lot of photos (will upload it soon). had so much fun. am so tired from all the walking too...

Spend Money Spend Money
just one day and i've spent a hundred odd.
went to queensway with dearie to shop for a new pair of track shoes. nice!!! i love them... it's the adidas climacool thingy.
after that went to bugis village to get dearie's b'day present. bought him a backpack. finally settled his b'day present. was cracking my brains on something to buy cos he said to buy something he needs.
hmm... ouch on the spending part (but not on dearie's present, but mine) i love buying stuff for him. can't help it...

Cute...
... no, that's not me... that's my adorable nephew and nieces. this actually happened sometime back but i didn't blog it. was talking to alfred about my nieces and nephew about how adorable they are when i suddenly thot of this...
recently, my sis sent him to british council to have english lessons as his english is quite poor. as our family gathered at my eldest sis's place for popiah, my sis showed us his spelling file. i came across something really funny.
case 1:

Alfred
is the star of today's gathering... he's flying back to Scotland tmr to continue his semester's studies.
dearie, sijie, joe and i met up with him @ city hall. initially decided on hightea then changed the place to marche, but ended up @ crystal jade la mian instead. ate so much that my stomach's gonna blow. guess alfred's gonna miss the food here in sg. (it's ok, we'll feast again when you come back in december!!! hee... )
it's been a long time since dearie and i met up with them. the last time we met up for dinner was last christmas followed by a drink @ alley bar.
really enjoyed myself today and i'm sure the others did too. gonna miss you guys man. can't wait for the next gathering.

had been watching this show on mondays. am wondering why it's so stupid. now i makes me stupid for watching a stupid show. well done..
i don't understand why they have to take weird photographs. not as if you'll actually take them in real life and stuff.
and the judges... i can't stand that gal... (damn, wat's her name? no, not tyra) she thinks so full of herself but i dun think she's pretty at all...
wat determines whether you can be a model anot? well, i think it's definately not some weird photo shoots that disguises you as a fish, alien etc...

Yawn
had to wake up damn bloody early today even thou it's the start of my one week hols. y? cos dearie's mummy left her keys in her office and she cldn't lock the door if she were to leave for work. so rang rang came dearie's phone at 8 plus in the morning... damn, rush, rush, rush from Outram to Toa Payoh...
dearie drove her to work then dropped by his camp to put his stuff while i waited in the nearby Cold Storage. went to Changi Village to have breakfast. Nasi Lemak was so-so. the store we bought from the other time wasn't open today. (too early??) so we tried the store that was recommended by Makansutra. the nasi lemak was ok lor, the one we ate the other time was much better...
since we were in the Changi area, we decided to drop by the beach. quiet, quiet and quiet... to my surprise, there were a no. of tents set up by the beach. dearie and i guessed that it belongs to the bangalahs working at the "construction" nearby.
on with my boring narration, we went to Tampines library to borrow some books. boy am i glad that i've managed to find Jamie Oliver's cook book... Hooray! More recipes!!!
lastly, off we went to the optical shop to fix my specs... and now i'm back at dearie's place blogging!!!
wat's e prog for the rest of the day? eh... i dunno leh... see how lah... hee...

Cut Cut Cut, Chop Chop Chop
...nope, i'm not cooking today. dearie's mummy cooked.
wat i'm talking about is my hair. i have to do something about this messy hair of mine. i need to shape it up but still contemplating whether i shld go back to Jean Yip to let Andy do it. sigh... i don't need a major hair cut (that's what i think), i need to shape it up. everything's just not in place.
hmm, shld i go to Chapter 2 that Peini recommended? well, Chapter 2 charges cheaper cos it's one price regardless of length. so, confused, confused, confused. or shld i just go to any nice cheap shop to just shape it out?
or shld i just not cut at all?

Bump, Bump... Ouch
forget about the "ouch" part. today's a bumpy day...
met dearie for dinner today. went to Marina Square to have dinner. decided to dine in at this new fast food restaurant Carl's Jr. wow, the serving was big. unless you're a really big eater, pls don't order the "double" burgers. (will post the photograph once i've uploaded it to my com) each combo meal range from $7 - $12. costly you might think, but i think it's kinda worth it bcos of the serving size.
took a walk to Esplanade where we met dearie's secondary school classmate, Hui Min. i could hardly recognise her. it's like i've never met her b4... (oops) went on to Raffles City to get some air-con due to the supid humid weather today. the sky was pink, weather was humid, you just feel so sticky. eew, i hate this feeling. anyway, dropped by MNG to see whethere there were anything nice for me to buy where we bumped into our poly sch mate, pyo pyo wai.
haa, dearie said we shld go back b4 we start bumping into many other... hee...

i'm so angry & upset with myself cos i've just screwed up my quiz big time!!! sigh...
i can blame no one, except myself.
how can i expect a quiz to be so easy that i can solve in 5 mins???
why the hell did i erase the correct answer??? (cos i cldn't solve the quadratic equation, all due to my carelessness. the square root part was a negative value, due to my carelessness)
this is the point where i can't do anything, but to be angry with myself...

Aching Legs...
is what i got from cycling in Ubin today...
Dearie, Kim, Veron & i decided to go Ubin to cycle today. dearie said that weekly mahjong's a "sin"... we shldn't do that all the time, so we've decided to do something healthy... =)
took some really nice pics... will post them up once i've uploaded them to my com.
cooling day at Ubin, followed by rainy day. the 4 of us were drenched!!! argh... it was a race against the rain, literally. as we were cycling, kim suddenly shouted to tell us to cycle faster as the rain was catching up. in just a split second, we turned from sweaty to soaking wet. natural instinct wld be to go look for a shelter. but (why are there so many but's in my life) there was no shelters near by. so we cycled like mad to get to the "nearest" shelter. boy was it crowded when we've reached there.
rain rain go away... come again another day...
waited and waited... waited and waited... oOo, there was this lorry that was driving ard. the lorry stopped at the shelter and asked if there were any kids/babies. i was like wow, they actually do that??? They don't even do that last time. i feel that this is something really good. this ensures that the kids are safe and thus will not fall sick. Well done!!!
rain stopped... finally... the 4 of us continued on our journey. cycle, cycle, cycle... huff puff huff puff... that's me going upslope... i'm really lousy at that. my knees are very weak as i've dislocated them b4. so going upslope without stopping halfway to get off the bike to push is really a challenge. a big big challenge. wee!!! that's me going downslope... and of course, i have no prob doing that... hehe...
stopped by this drink store where the owner owns a really fat wild boar. it eats everything!!! according to the owner, it drinks coke, pepsi, green tea even beer!!! it's really clever... knowing that the owner will give it something to it as it heard him opening a container full of biscuits, it went over to the corner where the owner was. the owner tapped on the boundary and it stood up... dearie took a pic of that too... can't wait to upload it when i get home...
whole day's really fun. i really enjoyed myself despite all my aches...
