Singapore River Raft Race 2005

Yeap!!! We're the champions again. All five rafts won something...

1. DE Killers - 2nd (speed)
2. DE Executors - 9th (speed)

4. DE Beauty (my beloved train) - 2nd (innovative)
5. DE Glide (mine too!!!) - 10th (speed)

Like this chinese cheng yu says... "Man Zai Er Gui"... Yup! We got the Overall Champion this year again... This is our 12th year being the overall champion.

These two days have been alot of fun... With pple like my juniors, my classmates, dearie, my seniors, as well as my teachers... I'm really looking forward to this event again next year... I really enjoy doing raft with them... Thanx pple, for lending this helping hand for my raft... thanx thanx...

My Body's Breaking Apart

Thot i would only spend half a day in SP doing my raft, but i was wrong. We left @ ard 1630, leaving me almost breaking into pieces.

Thot i would be feeling happy about this coming raft race, but it proves that i'm wrong. I'm not really that happy & excited about it. I feel like i'm being pushed ard in this competition. First they say i need not row, then today they asked me to try to back row. I mean, hello??? Ask me to back row??? Ok, fine then, when i've decided to struck it out for the next week, then they are contemplating whether to go look for a guy to back row. Don't you think i'm being pushed ard??

I'm feeling tired... I'm really am... Thot this long weekend was for me to @ least do some of my tutorials. Now, i've not done any.........

Yesterday.......

First i would like to wish all a happy Hari Raya...

Even thou it was hols yesterday, Brina & I went back to do our raft. After the press conference, my raft was soaked. You see, my raft is made up of cardboard. So, all of us, including seniors & juniors all helped to build another base... What a tiring day.

In the evening, Terence, Teerong, Brina & I went for dinner. We wanted to go to Fish & Co. at the glass house but it was really crowded. We settled for Hans at Parkmall instead. After dinner, we walked to Somerset Coffee Club to have a drink. As wat my mood is saying, "greedy", i was so tempted by the Muddy Mud Pie. This is my fav! But i've managed not to eat it.... But, i'm gonna eat it today!! (hehe) with dearie...

Wanted to go swimming today but my arms are still aching from yesterday... Oh yeah.. pple, if you guys are interested in the Singapore River Raft Race, do drop by on Sunday, 30 Jan, in the morning @ Singapore River (Clarke Quay), to give us our support!!! Declaration Of Off

Had declared off on Tuesday to be with dearie cos he applied for off. Was indeed a fun day.

In the afternoon, we went to K-ster to sing under the early bird cat. After which we went down to People's Park Center to hunt for a good & cheap getaway during this coming one week hols. After viewing of all prices & locations, we had decided to go to Batam. A 2 day 1 nite trip to Batam. Costs range from $45-100 and we're still deciding to book from which travel agency.

Dearie had actually wanted to bring me to KL, but the prices are kinda steep. I just want a short hol for relaxation. So most prob we'll go to Genting for the year end hols...

I'm so looking forward to the trip... ;P

How i hate sundays. Esp @ this time. This is the time when dearie has to go back camp & i have to go back home (something which i hate the most)...

But (yeah, the but but but thing), dearie has taken off for Tuesday. Hooray! Which means i'll be declaring off on tuesday. hehe. This is to compensate for this coming Hari Raya cos he has to do duty on that day. Well, you get some, you lose some...

Can't wait for tmr's class to be over & i'll get to be in dearie's arms again!!!

Pack, Sneeze, Clean...

Pack pack pack... It's a busy month for dearie & me... Dearie's shifting soon. In the beginning of Feb in fact & there's still quite a lot of stuff not packed yet.

How i hate to shift. Not only do we have to pack, I'll miss all the nice food in this area... But come to think of it, i'll not miss it till dearie ORD. His camp is nearby & we can still meet up often in this area to eat all my fav food!!! Which come to think of it, is something not really good for him, cos it's gonna be quite a dist for him to go home from camp.

Am so proud of myself today... Packed two boxes of stuff... Just came out from a nice, warm bath... Now i'm gonna wait for dearie to finish bathing & we're going to watch Garfield (the vcd we rented today) later.

Dye?? Highlight??

Today was a challenging day for sweetie. I requested something that he wasn't really willing to do; that is to highlight my hair. Why wasn't he willing? Ermz, cos he hasn't done it b4, & he was worried that he might spoil my hair.

Hours of fiddling with the instructions, we finally sat down @ 3pm to start on the mission. He was responsible for highlighting my hair, while i was sitting there, cutting lotsa aluminium foil. In about an hour time, my head was filled with foil. Lotsa Lotsa foil. This is so exciting!!!

Tick tock, tick tock... Time passes & finally it's time to remove the foil & wash the dye off my hair. I'm really excited, but dearie wasn't as excited as i was. He was worried, worried that he had done a bad job. After all the hair washing & conditioning, the results showed... The colour was there... But, it seemed more of dying my whole hair rather than highlighting it.

Nevertheless, a great job dearie!!! Let's try it a few more times... It'll get better!!! Thanx dearie...

Healing Powers

Was watching Animal Planet just now & realised tt animals really do great wonders. Animals actually have healing powers. There is this boy who suffered from down syndrome, and it is actually dolphins tt helped him to overcome alot of things. Amazing isn't it?

There is another girl who hasn't moved for more than a decade. (yeah, > 10 years!!) The moment this dog, not related to her @ all, started to lick her hand, this hand of her, gripped tightly, actually started to loosen up.

When i'm watching that, i was like "wow, amazing". They do things tat we humans have been trying & unable to do it.

God create wonders... Now i know... They are not only pets, animals, they are healers...

Am feeling gd cos i've finished 1 chapter of Econs. Now, let me side-track a bit b4 gg on the 2nd chapter.

Lousy Week

Yeah, this week had been a lousy week for me.

1. My laptop's down with some prob. It takes a long time to start up.
2. My HP is spoilt. It refuses to on.
3. My printer's mad. The blue ink refuses to come out. So my notes are now pink in colour.
4. I spent $17.90 on cab to skul on Mon cos i woke up late and the first lesson was lab.
5. The person i despise the most, is back-rowing my beloved raft.
6. I have 2 chapters of econs, 1 chp of geotech engg, and 1 chp of structures to read b4 everything starts to pile up.
7. I have tutorials not done.
8. I have no motivation to attend lectures cos of lousy lecturers.

See how lousy my week is??? Argh..........

I'm so tired till i forgot what i wanted to blog today... This is only the 2nd wk of sch & i'm torn to pieces. Ermz.. Come to think of it, I'm not supposed to blog now cos i'm supposed to study & read up the stupid Principles of Economics textbk. Damn... Why must i take Econs? Stupid NTU with stupid Prescribed Electives.

Buzzzzz...

Mumble mumble mumble... That's what two of my lecturers haf been doing... First is for Computation Methods tutorial. This tutor is small built, very blur looking & mumbles like a bee. He speaks so softly that even the pple in the first row can't hear. Even if you can hear, you'll think he's chanting some spell. The same goes to my Geotechnical Engineering lecturer. I suspect he's teaching in English and Japanese @ the same time and i think he really needs this module i'm taking: Communication Skills. Maybe i shall write a letter of petition... *grin* I can never take down notes for this lecture. I guess i'll have to resort to reading the textbk oredi... *haiz*

Noisy Noisy

Had a wonderful time with dearie. Despite my bad mood cos of the laptop, i felt better after leaving the hse.

Dearie & i went to Chinatown for lunch. Boy is it crowded. I guess everyone there is stocking up all the new year goodies. After lunch, we went to Tea Chapter (Cha Yuan) to relax, play games. As usual, dearie won me 3:2 in Chinese Chess.

After that, we went to buy some goodies to eat, my fav egg tart, lao po bing, cha siew sou, & po lou bao. Nice nice... (hmm, now i noe the reason why i can't seem to slim down).

Am so tired... Thot i cld catch some slp when i reach here. But, there is this wedding @ the void deck, with loud music. so loud that i can't even hear the song from my blog... Argh... Sleepy... Grouchy.... Argh!!!

Laptop Trouble

Woke up today, feeling so happy cos dearie was cuddling me e whole nite, feeling so blessed to have him by my side the moment i open my sleepy eyes...

But (yeah, it must haf this "but), my mood was totally screwed after i on my laptop. It took a bloody long time to start, & all stuff. Weird, as it was totally ok the last time i on it & shut it. What the hell is going on??? Luckily for me, it is still under warranty. The idiotic thing is that i'll haf to send it to repair, which means i'll haf to carry this heavy thing to sch b4 sending it to service after class on Tues... *sigh*

Lazy Lazy Me

Yeah, haf been a little lazy in bloggin here cos of the unadjusted school life. (Xinyi, sorry gal, too lazy.. Thanx for being such a regular reader. I feel so guilty not blogging often.) Bleah... Everyday i go home feeling so tired, worn out. I feel like i wanna die. & guess what? it's only the first wk of sch reopen with the first wk with no tutorials! God help me...

Burdened with a heavy bag everyday, my shoulders feel so tired, i'm aching all over. Not only that, my pocket is burnt, burnt into a really big hole from all the buying of textbooks. The worse part is yet to come, i may have to buy a textbook for language. Ridiculous isn't it? Now i'm contemplating whether i shld get a 2nd hand one. I hate 2nd hand bks. i hate it when pple scribble stupid things & highlight unnecessary stuff... i just hate it.

Despite all the bad stuff that is happening to me, i went for something relaxing with Brina & Geok Leng. We went for facial. hehe, time for some relaxation & beauty!!! Boy all the squeezing of the pimples & blackheads hurt! But the mask was gd... Filled with peppermint smell that is sooo cooling...

And another thing, i've just realised i've got sensitive skin. My skin is oily (nothing common i suppose), & lack of moisture. So if i wana use facial products, i cannot use those that are creamy, but i have to use those that are gel-like cos they contain more water. Now i'm in deep shit. Can anyone recommend me something gel-ly tt's gd & not too expensive?? Thanx a million (in advance)!!!

Managed to photocopied lecture notes from my Juay (hey thanx) & was drowned with all the boring facts of CE materials & Geotechnical Engg... Eew...

Rain Rain Go Away

It's been raining since morning & this crying finally subsided @ nite. Guess the clouds must be really upset. I pray, pray that tmr will be a bright & sunny day cos sch starts again. A bright & sunny day for a start is good even thou sch still sucks.

Me, Myself & Cello

This is my new hobby... Playing the cello. However, i'm not really that committed in the String Ensemble club. There's this audition tmr @ 2030hrs & i'm not intending to go. This audition is to decide whether we get to perform in the lunchtime concert in Feb.

Reason for not gg:
1. Due to no tutorial & lab classes during the first week, i'm off @ 1530hrs tmr, which means i'll have to rot in sch for 5 bloody hours b4 i go for the audition.
2. I hate bringing my cello to sch. Due to it's size, it brings alot of trouble and attention wherever i go.
3. If i'm selected, i'm not even sure whether i'll commit to it. This semester is a heavy sem for me. I dunno. I really dunno.

It's really a pity if i give it up like dat. But having to stay back till 2100hrs for cello to start is really tiring. esp when i have to bring the cello to & fro wherever i go, up & down the bus & mrt. it's really tiring. But i love playing it. Haiz... can anyone tell me what to do?
